What Customers Say:

  • Aperture matters more than magnification
I bought this knowing nothing about telescopes and not knowing what I could expect to see through this thing. Now I know more, I think this is a decent value, but it comes with A LOT of cons.In telescopes, the aperture size matters much more than magnification. The bigger the aperture, the better the image will be. This is a 70mm aperture (2.75 inches), which is about as small as you can get. It’s typical for an “entry-level” telescope, and a decent value for the money if you want to get into stargazing without dropping 500 bucks or more on a bigger scope. However, if I could do it over again, I would’ve spent more and gone with a better one.First, as with all beginner telescopes, it is actually much harder to use than a more intermediate level one. This is something well-known in the amateur astronomy group I’ve joined, and they never, EVER recommend buying a beginner telescope, ESPECIALLY for kids.Because most kids like looking AT stuff more than looking FOR it. And with this telescope, far more time is spent hunting for objects than actually looking at them.My kid doesn’t have the patience or attention span for that, but I rather enjoy the challenge, so I do it. Which brings me to the next problem. This is made for kids. As such, the stand is very short. Which means that all the time you spend hunting for things, you’ll having to be hunched over, crouched down, or kneeling on the ground. And if you live in a place with a lot of light pollution, you won’t be able to see much more than stars, the Moon, or the brightest planets. Even Mars is difficult to see through this telescope, and you can’t make out any detail whatsoever on the surface. You can make out SOME faint detail on Jupiter, especially if you go away from light pollution on a clear, moonless night. And you can just make out Saturn’s rings.Venus, on the other hand, is very easy to see. Especially now, near the end of April 2020, it is the brightest it’ll be all year, so we’ve been looking at it every night. It’s too bright, even at its dimmest, to make out any detail, but you can see what phase it’s in.Galaxies, most nebulas, and many star clusters are beyond the ability of this telescope, but that being said, I was able to see a planetary nebula called The Ghost of Jupiter last night. For perspective, I’ve had a few weeks of use and practice, and feel comfortable with the telescope, and have a number of apps, charts, and star maps to help me find things, and it STILL took over an hour for me to finally find it, put it close enough to the center of my field of view to use with max magnification, and put it in focus. And even then, it looked like a hazy, bluish star. We couldn’t make out any detail or the distinctive eye-shape that can be seen with even slightly larger scopes.Still, it was cool and the kid loved it. I consider it worth the effort, but my back is killing me today.Don’t get me wrong, for an entry-level telescope, this is good. It’ll serve our needs while we save up for an upgrade. But, like all entry-level telescopes, this is harder to use and not powerful enough to see much. All the time required to hunt for things, for what many may consider a disappointing result, could potentially end up killing a kid’s enthusiasm. If you absolutely MUST get an entry-level telescope, this is a good choice. But if at all possible, save up and get a larger aperture.
  • Great First Telescope for Total Beginners (Like Me!)
I’m completely new to stargazing—before this, the closest I got was pointing my spotting scope at the moon and hoping for the best. After poking around online for something simple but not “toy-like,” I landed on this Gskyer 600x90mm telescope, and honestly, I’m really glad I did.First off, putting it together was way easier than I expected. The manual actually made sense (a rare miracle), and within a short time I had everything assembled. The 90mm aperture and 600mm focal length might sound like numbers only pros care about, but even as a newbie, I can say the images look clear and sharp. The two eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) plus the 3X Barlow lens give you options to experiment with magnification. Switching them out takes seconds, which is great when you’re still learning what you’re doing. As for the viewing experience: pretty awesome for a beginner. I’ve used it for mountain and treetop views during the day, and at night I’ve been able to see the moon in really nice detail. I even caught a glimpse of Jupiter and its moons, which felt like a tiny personal victory. The only downside is the tripod. It’s definitely kid-height. I’m not tall and even I noticed it sits low. It still works, but if you’re on the taller side, you might find yourself crouching like you dropped your keys. I ended up attaching the scope to an old photography tripod I had lying around, and that fixed the issue instantly. All in all, this telescope has been a great start for someone who’s just dipping their toes into astronomy. Easy to use, beginner-friendly, and gives impressive views for the price. Would absolutely recommend for anyone curious about the night sky!
  • Solid Beginner Telescope, Needs Filters
This is a pretty solid telescope. I’ve been able to locate a few planets and, of course, enjoy clear views of the moon. It’s reliable enough for beginners or casual stargazing and provides a rewarding experience. That said, filters are an absolute must with this telescope — they make a huge difference in clarity and comfort when viewing bright objects. With the right accessories, it becomes a much more enjoyable setup.TL;DR: Solid beginner telescope. Great for the moon and planets, but filters are essential.
  • Perfect Starter Telescope for the Amateur Astronomer
I recently purchased the Gskyer Telescope (70mm Aperture 400mm AZ Mount Astronomical Refracting Telescope), and it has been an absolute delight. As someone just starting out in astronomy, I was looking for a high-quality yet easy-to-use instrument, and this telescope is perfect for the amateur astronomer.Setup was quick and painless, taking less than 15 minutes to assemble right out of the box. The instruction manual is clear, making it simple to get started. The 70mm aperture delivers surprisingly bright and crisp views of the moon’s craters, and I’ve even managed to spot Jupiter’s moons and the rings of Saturn on clear nights. The included phone adapter is fantastic for quickly sharing photos of what you’re seeing. The tripod is stable enough for observational use, and the adjustable AZ mount makes tracking objects easy once you get the hang of it. If you’re looking for a gateway into the stars without a massive investment or a steep learning curve, I highly recommend this Gskyer model. It provides excellent optical performance for its price point.
  • Good Beginner Telescope
This was my first telescope so I have a long way to go before mastering it. I think it was a decent value for the money I spent. The setup was pretty easy. There are many viewing options with this telescope, from far away to up close. I love bringing the sky to life and being able to see things that I would normally not see. I really liked being able to view from my phone as well. It is a little challenging for me, being that I am a newbie at this, but I’m really excited for the possibilities this telescope offers!!! I would recommend this telescope to others.

What Customers Say:

  • Should have bought one sooner!
Fantastic product, much better than I expected! Exceptional clarity for coins, repairing jewelry and looking at geodes. The exciting part is being able to connect to my television, instantly sharing my treasures with my family on a big screen then photographing them for my files. So quick and easy. Now we want to include this little gem on ourcamping trips to help identify flora and insects. P.S. My son has dibs on it for his stamp collection. Maybe I need two?
  • Great tool at great price
This microscope is very cool, it has great magnification and is very easy to use. It has lots of great futures like video mode versus photo mode, the stand itself is adjustable, and it has a great battery life. Only thing I would change is to allow the lens to be adjustable as well to get some side view. It’s super lightweight and easy to store due to its small size. Not bulky or heavy at all.
  • Very impressive for the price
For the price, this little scope can’t be beat. It does not come with a memory card, but it works just fine without one. The light on it is very bright and the picture is much clearer than I expected at this price point. The image resolution is relatively low but also much better than I was expecting at this price. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the scope and look forward to using it.My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that it the digital zoom is grainy. It is much more effective to physically move the camera closer to the object to achieve a clear picture at smaller scale but this does not allow for room to work on the object while under the scope. It is fine for inspecting something in very fine detail but I would look for something with a better optical zoom if you would like perfect clarity at high zoom levels.
  • Good scope.
I had to use external lights. I helped me get the job done. Manuel zoom and digital up to 4x zoom.
  • Great Currency Microscope
Exactly what I needed for coins and collectibles. The screen is optically sharp, the focus zoom is strong, and the built-in LEDs make details pop. Super fun to use and incredibly helpful for grading coins. Great value.
  • Worked VERY well for the infrequent use I have. Being able to photo an entire coin would be better.
I found this easy to use and worth the money (in the context of an coin collector but not a dealer).I have used it to check specific markings of coins I have to identify a few specific variants. I have used it a few times to show detail on the 3-4 coins I have sold online the past year (I had a few duplicates). I find it easy to focus and zoom in, and it connects nicely to my computer if I want. The only bad thing is that you generally can’t get a picture of the entire coin at once (it doesn’t zoom out enough… even for a small dime or penny). I solved this by spinning it around on its base and taking a picture from a higher up view… but it doesn’t work as well. As this is specifically a coin microscope, I would have liked it to be able to have the utility to take a picture of an entire coin (a dollar size coin at least). However, it is admittedly a lower cost item, and I was able to make it work when I needed to, so I am still giving it a 5* review. But I might look elsewhere if you are trying to get something that will be used to sell/showcase many coins for sale.
  • Perfect starter microscope, or perfect for coins for which it was advertised.
This was perfect for what I wanted it for, but one should know that’s this product is very much a “starter” microscope . The parts and flimsy and so cheap. Some low grade aluminum or even tin. Rather easy to set up.It can be finicky when trying to adjust.. but in full transparency that is likely operator error. But once you get through these things.. and use it. I was pretty happy. I am a mineral and crystal collector, so I love to look at the pieces magnified. I had been using a jewelry loupe, which worked.. but I couldn’t really capture a picture. – so I knew I wanted something small to start out.. I found one other “pocket microscope” oh my god it Was horrible. When I found this one I loved tat it was compact, but it has a lcd screen with a spot for a memory card l.. LOVE this!I haven’t yet purchased the memory card, BUT that hasn’t stopped me from setting it up zooming in and snapping a picture from my phone to share with my group..keep in mind as the description says this is technically designed for coins. If that is what you will be using it for.. I think it would be a great! Obviously as shared is crazy mineral collectors can use for smaller specimens. And despite the disappointment in the material and lack of real quality.. I gave 5 stars. It meets the description perfectly. It works as designed; and at that, it works pretty cool.. and did I say.. you can record! Some of the pictures. One of the original piece and 2 inclusions that were not viable to the naked eye.. or were really little spots. The 4th picture is dendritic formations.. so as you can see it does work.Would i recommend yeah I think I would, and would share the things that I personally didn’t care for.
  • Returned it with some issues
I wasn’t able to able to adjust the focus on this. The instructions for setting up were okay. The instructions on how to use lacked information and were confusing. My brother received one from a friend. We were able to get it to work. This is the reason I gave it a 3 star rating instead of a 2 star. This product does not come with the memory card. I had no problem returning it and bought another microscope with a bigger screen. I do not recommend buying this. When you factor in the cost of the memory card you end up paying about the same as a bigger screen that comes with everything you need.

  • Great Telescope for Beginners
Wonderful starter telescope for my tween grandchild. Very easy to set up and user friendly.
  • Great beginners telescope!
Its a quality scope. We have had a lot of fun with this product.
  • Perfect Beginner Telescope
Perfect Beginner Telescope – Great for Kids and Moon Viewing!I bought this telescope mainly for my kids, and it has exceeded expectations. Setup was quick and straightforward, which made it easy to get started the same night. The first thing we tried was looking at the moon, and the view was absolutely amazing – crisp, clear details of the craters that kept everyone fascinated. It’s lightweight and easy to adjust, which is perfect for children to handle on their own. My kids loved being able to find objects in the sky, and it really sparked their curiosity about space. The included lenses provided good magnification without being overwhelming for beginners.
  • Good quality
Good quality, easy to put together. Little issue with aligning the scope sometimes the scope is too heavy and may need to adjust higher to accommodate for the weight.
  • Very clear images!
Works amazing and great value for money!
  • Great for Beginners
Absolutely thrilled with the Telescope 80mm Aperture 600mm! As someone new to stargazing, I was looking for a user-friendly yet high-quality telescope, and this one definitely delivers.Easy Setup: The AZ mount is super intuitive and stable, making it easy to track objects as they move across the sky. I was able to set everything up in just a few minutes, and the tripod is solid and adjustable.Wireless Control & Phone Adapter: The wireless control feature is a game-changer, especially for someone like me who doesn’t want to be constantly fiddling with knobs. The phone adapter is a nice touch, letting me take photos through the eyepiece and share the experience with friends and family.Portability: It’s lightweight and comes with a carrying bag, so it’s incredibly easy to transport for camping trips or backyard stargazing sessions.Great Value: For the price, the quality of this telescope is unbeatable. It’s a perfect balance between affordability and high-performance features.Whether you’re a beginner or just need something more portable, I highly recommend this telescope. It’s been an amazing addition to my astronomy gear and has opened up a whole new world of stargazing for me!
  • Expected More, Low Quality
At first, I was surprised that the telescope came in a bag – that’s nice! Something to store it and any accessories. However, as soon as I tried to pull the tripod out, one of the straps pulled right off. It now feels kind of like foreshadowing.I always wanted one of these as a kid, and I was excited to be able to get one for my son. I’m really glad that he’s getting into science now. But when I pulled the main cylinder out of the bag, it just felt… light.Assembly and instructions were ok for a cheap brand. I would have liked it to be a little more technical, but it looks like it was written for kids. I guess that makes sense, because I discovered this really just amounts to a children’s toy.It really just doesn’t feel substantial. Aside from the weight, it looked OK when assembled, but it wasn’t screaming quality by any means. Hey, moving it was easy because it’s so light. But once I got it outside, I could see that it was just wobbly. It hardly stood still enough to see leaf across the street. And even then, I’m just looking at a leaf. I guess it’s my fault for not getting something with more magnification. The picture is just low quality as well. I don’t understand how that works, but maybe they are low quality plastic lenses? I can’t say they are, as I didn’t want to touch any and damage. But if you look at the phhotos posted, you can see that they just can’t find sharp focus and the colors are just off. It’s really weird. I don’t know enough about optics to properly explain it all and why it’s happening that way.So I tried the phone mount. Everything is held together with screws that push into the device, and I found quickly that I didn’t have them really screwed in there. The weight of the phone was a lot for it. And I see why they give a remote for the phone because the thing just wobbles, and I guess you just have to hope it stops in the right place.I finally gave up on the phone mount for now. It just didn’t seem like a good idea and I thought that I might lose my phone – it might fall and crack – while adjusting it. It ended up being best just holding it up myself. Making the whole phone mounting part of it (a selling point) pointless.I guess I just expected too much, but I just wanted more for my son. This isn’t good. I would recommend someone spend their money on a better quality used device or just watch some videos online to make sure that someone recommends it for having good quality before buying.
  • Easy to Set up
Easy to set up. The telescope is easy to use and focus. The tripod is junk. Because it doesn.t have a adjustable height on the mount you are very limited on the angle of the scope, I tried to look at the moon when it was around 11 o’clock in the sky. I couldn’t see the moon because the handle used to adjust the up and down motion would hit the mount of the tripod. I also sent a e-mail to the company asking what the silver screw on top of the scope was for. I send a picture of the screw and the told me it was the focus adjustment. It seems to me that their isn’t any real customer service as stated in the item description. The scope worked fine once i mounted it on my camera tripod.I enclosed a transcript of the email.I wanted to know what this silver screw in knob on the back top of telescope is for. Reply: Hello, please provide your order number and describe the issue you are encountering. Thank you!Why can’t you just answer a simple question? I sent a picture!! What is the knob for.???Reply: Hello, this is the retractable tube used to secure and adjust the rear end of the telescope (this tube extends and retracts when adjusting the focus knob).

  • Great Quality and Educational Fun
These microscope slides are amazing! Perfect for kids (8+) and adults alike—there’s so much to discover. My son got them for his birthday, and he was beyond excited. The slides are high quality and a great addition to any microscope set. Just be careful, as they are fragile. Highly recommended!
  • Perfect for My 5-Year-Old’s First Science Adventure!
I bought these microscope slides for my 5-year-old to go with their beginner microscope, and they’ve been an absolute hit! The slides come pre-loaded with colorful, interesting specimens — things like bug wings, flower petals, and even fabric fibers — and they’re clearly labeled in a way that’s easy to understand (even for little ones just learning to read). What impressed me most is that these are made with kids in mind: no glass, no sharp edges — just durable plastic that can survive excited little hands. My child was mesmerized from the moment we placed the first slide under the microscope. It’s sparked so many questions and conversations about nature, science, and the world around us.It’s hard to find toys that are both fun and educational, but this checks every box. If you have a curious kid and want to encourage hands-on learning, this is a must-have.Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be buying more science kits like this!
  • What is with these reviews? What do you expect?
I got these for my grandson along with a cheapie usb digital scope. They’re great. They’re cheap, safe, and lots of cool things for kids to look at. These are child friendly safety slides that are specifically for grade-schoolers.Of course they are low quality and will be blurry. Don’t hold plastic safety slides to the same light quality and refractive standards as glass slides.I just wanted to finally write a review for these because I keep recommending these to parents looking for microscopy kits, and this kit is one I regularly recommend. And I was disheartened reading some of the negative reviews. Right, we get it, much lower-grade refractive qualities in these plastic, safe, slides. So they’re a bit blurry. And?It’s a good product, does precisely as advertised, safe, and quality is just fine for child-safe prepared slides. We’ve gotten a lot of use out of ’em. I’ve recommended this kit to a bunch of people. Guess I’ll do it in a review now.
  • Caution with packaging !!
The slide boxes are packed tightly together with three layers of cellophane. A child, heck even a teenager or adult, will have a hard time opening these and may cut themselves doing it. Open them right down to the final box before giving them to anyone. I started with scissors but the wrapping is too tight so I switched to a knife. The slides themselves are great and a wonderful introduction to microscopy.
  • Great slides
Granddaughter really enjoys looking at slides with her microscope really good learning toy
  • Great value
Great value. Everything nicely organized and labeled.
  • Poorly prepared, flimsy box can’t be reclosed
I hesitate to knock stars off of a product that is admittedly on the low end of the spectrum as far as cost and quality goes. They were never designed to be laboratory quality glass slides. You are just not going to get 48 high quality slides at this price. However, these could be much better. Starting with the box they come in. As you can see form the pic, the slides are housed in a flimsy thin cardboard box. They are supposed to stay in place in that box with paper thin cardboard strips that keep the slides apart. Unfortunately, as soon as you pull that “tray” of slides out, pull a few slides out and then back in, the thin cardboard strips that hold the slides in place just tear off. This makes sliding that tray of slides, now not aligned very well, very difficult to slide back in its little box. I can only imagine that after only a few times of use, that little box holding the slides will be useless, and you’re going to have to find another way to store them without them banging into each other, which would eventually destroy the slide. This product needs a better way to store their slides. Other companies usually have at least a rudimentary plastic box where the slides can be stored without damaging them. The quality of the slides themselves also leaves a lot to be desired. Samples are tiny, often not large enough to see the “big picture” of what you’re supposed to be looking at. Yes this is a microscope, and thus the samples are supposed to be tiny until looked through the scope, but I have other slide sets that do a much better job at that. Of course not at this price point. I’m knocking off two stars mainly because of the container/box they are housed in. As I said, it will become useless quickly and you’ll have to find a way to store the slides.
  • Great STEM teaching aid
I bought these for my 6 year old granddaughter and they sparked never heard questions. She loves them

As he practicing ER Physician, I decided to buy this for my kids to play with. I have stories all the time I share with the kids in regards to placing sutures. The product is really good. It’s tough and strong. Be advised,The needles are very SHARP so you must be careful. The Hemostats, Kelly’s and driver equipment is compatible to what I use in the emergency department to perform sutures. The only drawback is, when you insert the needle, the silicone is a little harder than real life, but that’s expected with an engineering product. You must insert the needle on the suture with mild force. Overall, my girls love it.
  • Great Practicing Tool
Great for practicing how to perform suturing techniques.
  • Good product
The thread was a little difficult; but great set
  • Great for beginners
This kit packs a lot for the price! You get a solid set of tools and tons of different sutures to practice with. The rubber “skin” pad comes with a mesh layer at the top so it can be reused. It really can’t be used for any buried-type stitches though. Only the superficial mesh layer can hold stitches, if you attempt to do anything deeper, the rubber WILL tear. The rubber also picks up every piece of dirt and hair possible. This isn’t a major issue since you can just rinse/wipe it, but just be awareThe included tools seem solid and have held up with use. I’ve seen some reviews saying the forceps are hard to use because it has teeth at the end, making it more difficult to grab things. However, this is what we use in real life surgeries; toothed forceps may have a steeper learning curve, but they’re more true to what you’ll get in the hospital.Overall, it is worth the price for students to practice simple stitches and knot tying. May want to look into something more realistic if you’re more advanced.
  • Great product overall
The material was easy to use. The value of the product was worth the money I paid. It’s very durable as long as you take big bites and don’t put too much tension in the suture. The only thing I’d add is a booklet or QR code that leads to suture videos for beginners! I did search the patterns on YouTube but having it all in one place would be convenient!
  • Great learning tool
This kit has been a great resource for me being in np school. I’m doing online classes so having the ability to do hands on has been great.
  • Buenos materiales
    Exelente calidad
  • Too awesome!
I’m not in the medical field but I’m always wanting to learn new things and be prepared. This kit is exactly what I wanted to practice stitches on. The silicone pad is durable and a good quality, all of the items that come with the kit are excellent and functional. I love the tools, they work so smoothly, are a perfect size and very comfortable to use. This is a great value for your money and will keep you busy practicing! I highly recommend this product, it’s very cool! I basically tortured the silicone pad with putting in and removing stitches until my hands hurt – I’m going to keep working on my stitches until they are perfect!

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Telescope for Beginners and Kids
This telescope exceeded my expectations. The assembly was very easy thanks to the included manual, and I had it ready in just a few minutes. It comes with all the necessary accessories—tripod, eyepieces, finder scope, and even educational posters of the solar system and the Moon—making it perfect for starting out in astronomy. The image quality is surprisingly good for its size and price. You can clearly see details of the Moon, and with some patience, you can also observe bright planets like Jupiter or Saturn. The tripod is lightweight and easy to carry, making it great for use at home or for traveling.Overall, it’s a very complete, educational, and fun telescope, perfect for kids, beginners, or as a gift. Highly recommended!
  • Amazing Beginner Telescope – Great for the Whole Family!
I bought this telescope as a gift for my son (and secretly for myself too ????), and it’s been such a fun way to explore the night sky together. Setup was super easy — no complicated tools or confusing directions. The image clarity is fantastic for a beginner telescope; we’ve already seen the moon’s craters and even caught a glimpse of Jupiter’s moons! The included phone adapter works great for taking pictures, and the wireless remote makes it simple to snap photos without shaking the view. Lightweight and portable, we can take it anywhere — camping, the backyard, or road trips.Perfect for anyone curious about astronomy. Highly recommend!
  • Great for teaching yourself astronomy, the beauty of the bigger world, and anger management
In writing this review, I had to rant about egregious way that many telescopes are designed, specifically the lever aiming system. While I believe this frustration to be entirely justified, it’s also not entirely fair to blame this particular manufacturer, and for that reason I’m not subtracting it from my score, but it is massively impacting the enjoyability and results from working with it.PROS:This telescope has a lot of quality parts, especially for the price. You can achieve some good views and pictures, and the setup is intuitive. I’ve been able to get some compelling compelling glimpses of astral bodies with pretty good clarity. The phone attachment works pretty well and helps you take compelling pictures, and monitoring through a screen is much easier than squinting into the eyepiece. I also like and appreciate the inclusion of remote tech so that you don’t bump the whole thing while taking pictures.CONS:First, the center of gravity is too high for the tripod. It’s far too top-heavy and wants to fall over. This wouldn’t be a problem if the tripod legs would just extend out further, so this feels like a very avoidable issue. It doesn’t cause wobbling, necessarily, but it certainly doesn’t help. I’ve had a few times where moving the adjustment lever caused the whole thing to start to fall over, which is pretty crazy. It should feel sturdy at least 30% more sturdy than it does.Secondly, the lever system for aiming the lens is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. To call this design antiquated is an insult to antiquity. I cannot tell you how infuriating it is to finally catch a glimpse of what you’re trying to zoom into, only to have the whole the BOUNCE back to where it was. In order to stabilize on an object, you have to pull this clunky, friction-riddled system PAST what you’re aiming for in the hopes it will settle back to where it needs to be. The fact that we don’t have simple adjustment knobs instead of this catastrophe is concerning. This design, as a whole, has to be done away with. The lever works fine for large-scale adjustments, but for fine-tuning your angle it’s beyond infuriating, especially at higher zooms.I’m keeping the telescope for all the top parts, but will have to look at implementing my own alternative to this insane aiming system that has to be done away with.
  • Great Beginner-Friendly Telescope with Clear Views
I bought this 70mm aperture refractor telescope for a family astronomy night, and it has exceeded my expectations. It’s very beginner friendly. Both adults and kids were able to use it without any trouble. The setup was quick, and the instructions were clear enough that we had it assembled in about 10 minutes. The image quality is impressive. With the 15X–150X magnification range, we were able to see the moon’s craters in great detail and even got a decent look at some planets. The included phone adapter is a fantastic bonus. Once it’s lined up properly, you can take surprisingly good photos. The wireless remote made capturing those shots even easier. It’s also lightweight and portable, which makes it perfect for traveling with it or taking it into the backyard.Overall, this is a great telescope for beginners, families, or anyone looking to explore the night sky without a huge investment. Highly recommended!

What Customers Say:

  • A QUESTION WITH NO ANSWER…AS YET.
A VERY INTERESTING READING… ALTHOUGH IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH MANY OF THE SCIENTIFIC JARGON, YOU WILL HAVE TO SKIP SOME PARAGRAPHS. BUT DONT WORRY, THERE IS PLENTY OF MATERIAL TO ENJOY…
  • Comprehensive overview of behaviour and its origins
Behave: The Biology of Humans at our Best and Worst is a comprehensive overview of ways to think about the causal mechanisms involved in human behavior. This is of course a massive subject that is still poorly understood despite large strides made in the lace century. Robert Sapolsky tackles the root causes of behavior through multiple lenses to give the reader a sense of how our minds work. This book is not easy and the material it covers is from many technical subjects which are then interwoven. But for the interested reader this is a pretty remarkable achievement as one gets an overview of human nature from a combinatorial lens of primatology, neuroscience, behavioral economics, biochemistry, psychology among other subjects. Such an attempt would seem impossible for almost any author, but this book largely achieves its goals.Behave is split into 17 chapters in which each chapter effectively thinks about behavior on a longer time scale, starting with immediately before to getting to evolutionary origin. The author starts by posing questions on how our behavior originates. The first 5 chapters highlight this point and the author discusses topics from how the neuroscience of decisions works to how our the neural architecture is laid through our experiences. There is a lot of technical material which can be tough to follow, but there is an appendix which helps clarify the subject for those less familiar. Nonetheless Chapter 2 discusses the various parts of the brain and aspects of their evolution and has a lot of detail but is a core reference chapter for later in the book. The author then starts getting into hormones and regulation and how they impact our actions, there is a lot of discussion of myths and facts and one gets a sense of how complex the interactions are. The author discusses the adolescent brain and how it is still very much in development. Ideas like how accountable are youths get’s discussed, these kinds of questions are posed and re-discussed throughout. The author discusses how the environment can influence behavior and some epigenetic ideas are discussed along side general brain development. The author discusses the basis of our political nature as well, in particular how people categorize other people and have internal Us vs Them delineations. How we frame who is an us and who is a them though is extremely variable and our characterization of groups is deemed to be largely constructed rather than innate. The author discusses how different societies have different levels of social interactions and consequentially how different people think about interacting with strangers depends heavily on how much social capital their respective societies have. The author discusses hierarchies and brings in his primatology expertise and discusses how different ape families manage their hierarchies and stress associated with such systems. Human hierarchical systems are discussed in this contexts and the author highlights that our current capitalistic hierarchical society is all new relative to hunter gatherer systems. The author discusses our systems of morality and where they originate; the author looks at cases of high generosity and discusses what parts of the brain were involved. There are lots of interesting facts to be read in these chapters, really fascinating material. The author discusses things like empathy and sympathy and how too much empathy gets in the way of prudent action. It is the dispassionate observer who ends up being more helpful on average. The author revisits the criminal justice system and discusses the deep flaws in how we might be thinking of right and wrong and responsibility; there are useful ideas to consider when thinking about policy. The author ends up by discussing our propensity for violence and war overtime. There are some great anecdotal stories from recent world wars on reconciliation as well as front line behavior when people weren’t considering the enemy a them.Behave is a pretty remarkable book. It is a combination of material from so many subjects, all of which are non-trivial, and it is put together remarkably well. For those interested in how people can behave, where our behavior comes from, what time scales are involved in our propensities and how flexible our responses are this is a must read. One should get a sense of optimism from this, despite science’s progress on understanding behavior, we are nowhere close to claiming we have strong causal mechanisms that took a person from point a to b. There are correlated variables and we have some indication on where propensities come from but one still has room for individualism in this book. Very informative, very impressive.
  • Sweeping and in depth accounting of the neurobiology of humans.
Behave is a sweeping and in depth accounting of the neurobiology of humans. It covers everthing! The Chapters start with The Behavior, One Second Before, Second to Minutes Before, . . . Centuries to Millenia Before . . . Us Versus Them . . . Morality . . . EpilogueSo many big topics are covered in this book! I’ve picked some themes that resonated with my current understanding of what it is to be human. These are represented by some scant notes of mine clearly labeled as [jch note:s]. All quoted text is verbatum from the book, with p.Page number.Resonating Themes: It’s complicated! (Addressing Nature v. Nurture), Us v. Them, Autopilot (Free Will?) Brain Science, Income Inequality, Moral Foundations, CultureSapolsky is a great writer! The text is clearly presented by someone with a firm grasp on the tree of knowledge and how to pass it on. There are many noted os a personal nature, usually with a wonderful sense of humor. And there are many, many wonderful references such as “untruthiness”.It’s Complicated! – That’s the theme of the book.p.248 “This is summarized wonderfully by the neurobiologist Donald Hebb: “It is no more appropriate to say things like characteristic A is more influenced by nature than nurture than . . . to say that the area of a rectangle is more influenced by its length than its width.” It’s appropriate to figure out if lengths or widths explain more of the variability in a population of rectangles. But not in individual ones.”Epilogue Bullet: ” Genes aren’t about inevitabilities; they’re about potentials and vulnerabilities. And they don’t determine anything on their own. Gene/ environment interactions are everywhere. Evolution is most consequential when altering regulation of genes, rather than genes themselves.”Epilogue Bullet: ” Adolescence shows us that the most interesting part of the brain evolved to be shaped minimally by genes and maximally by experience; that’s how we learn—context, context, context.”Epilogue Bullet: ” We are constantly being shaped by seemingly irrelevant stimuli, subliminal information, and internal forces we don’t know a thing about.”p.267 Figure from Cluture Gender and Math ( Luigi Guiso et al. ) showing girls better at math in IcelandEpilogue Bullet: ” Brains and cultures coevolve.”p.92 “Words have power. They can save, cure, uplift, devastate, deflate, and kill. And unconscious priming with words influences pro-and antisocial behaviors.”p.97 culture shapes what we see “Thus, culture literally shapes how and where you look at the world.”Us versus ThemEpilogue Bullet: ” We implicitly divide the world into Us and Them, and prefer the former. We are easily manipulated, even subliminally and within seconds, as to who counts as each.”Epilogue Bullet: ” Be dubious about someone who suggests that other types of people are like little crawly, infectious things.”p.388 IAT “Rapid, automatic biases against a Them can be demonstrated with the fiendishly clever Implicit Association Test (IAT). 3 Suppose you are unconsciously prejudiced against trolls. To simplify the IAT enormously: A computer screen flashes either pictures of humans or trolls or words with positive connotations (e.g., “honest”) or negative ones (“ deceitful”). Sometimes the rule is “If you see a human or a positive term, press the red button; if it’s a troll or a negative term, press the blue button.” And sometimes it’s “Human or negative term, press red; troll or positive term, press blue.” Because of your antitroll bias, pairing a troll with a positive term, or a human with a negative, is discordant and slightly distracting. Thus you pause for a few milliseconds before pressing a button.”p.629 “The core of that thought is Susan Fiske’s demonstration that automatic other-race-face amygdala responses can be undone when subjects think of that face as belonging to a person, not a Them. The ability to individuate even monolithic and deindividuated monsters can be remarkable.”Epilogue Bullet: ” When humans invented socioeconomic status, they invented a way to subordinate like nothing that hierarchical primates had ever seen before.”p.144 “There’s wonderful context dependency to these effects. When a rat secretes tons of glucocorticoids because it’s terrified, dendrites atrophy in the hippocampus. However, if it secretes the same amount by voluntarily running on a running wheel, dendrites expand. Whether the amygdala is also activated seems to determine whether the hippocampus interprets the glucocorticoids as good or bad stress.”
  • “You are one of the lucky humans, so try”
Very broad, rightly so, account of human behaviour. As scientific as it can be! I wish every law person, diplomat, politician, psychologist would get to read this. Too long and sometimes losing interest — that’s why I gave 1 star less than perfect. Still, highly recommend.

Purchased for my 7 yrs old grandson. He LOVES it. With his father’s help he set up the ToyerBee Telescope the other evening and was in awe of what he could see in the night sky. He used his dad’s I phone to get a larger view of the sky. This telescope is awesome for beginners. Comes complete with 2 eye pieces, tripod legs a cell phone adapter and a wireless remote. The unit Is portable so you can move it around or take it with you on travel easily. Even his younger sister was amazed to view the night sky. Great item to see the universe.
  • Moon mission with the kids – instant excitement!
We got this telescope delivered, and the kids could hardly wait to open it. That very night, we rushed downstairs to check out the huge, glowing moon – and their faces were priceless! ???? It’s surprisingly lightweight, so even my 5-year-old could adjust it, but it feels sturdy and well-made. Switching lenses is like a mini adventure every time – one moment we’re zooming in on craters, the next we’re exploring the backyard trees. It’s not just about astronomy; it’s become our little family ritual, sparking curiosity and giving us lots of laughs together. Definitely a hit!
  • The Perfect Telescope for Young Astronomers!
I bought the ToyerBee Telescope for my kids because they love the solar system and the moon. When we received it, they wanted to open it right away. Setting it up was very easy.We used it on a clear night and had a great time looking at the moon. My kids were amazed and enjoyed seeing its details. They are excited about the next blood moon and want to see it through the telescope.I really like this product for how easy it is to set up and use. I highly recommend the ToyerBee Telescope for anyone who wants to share the wonders of space with their kids.

  • So Far I am Loving This Thing
Ordered and received the item in under 18 hours…. INCREDIBLE!I opened the box and allowed the scope to fully charge and I also downloaded the App and installed it on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I too was a little apprehensive about allowing access to my entire photo library so I did a little alteration to my library. I went to my settings and turned off my Hidden Folder access and then I selected my entire library and clicked on “hide”. Immediately all videos and photos were instantly gone from view and I can’t even view my hidden album unless I go to my settings and click on the “show hidden album”. So for all practical purposes my photo library is empty. Even giving full permission for the scope will not allow anyone including me to see the hidden album. I know that this is a bit of a hassle to do this but I needed to see for myself how the images looked, coming directly from the scope. I can always use the “screenshot” method for taking the picture without giving permissions to anyone. I can just as easily remove my permissions from the scope/application anytime I want and then restore my library by unhiding my pictures and videos after turning on my settings that I turned off.So with that out of the way I was impressed with the quality of the images that I was receiving from the Scope. Even a video that I shot while playing with the Scope was incredibly clean and crisp. I can see why people were kinda negative towards the stand it came with. Ya gotta cut corners somewhere to produce a device that functions nicely and at a great price considering how many different Scopes are available and all have pretty much the same functionality. Competition for customers is thru the roof. I would prefer the cost cutting should be done with the peripherals and NOT the Scope. If I were to use enough force to insure that the Scope would not move, I would probably end up breaking the stand as well. However I have dealt with this type of Ball & Pivot mechanism before so a simple little trick would prevent the Scope from ever slipping out or accidentally having the stand butterfly screw break when attempting to gorilla it tight enough to hold. I took the time to make tiny scribes on the surface of both of the pivot balls giving them a much more friction surface to grip with. When the stand is back together it will take very little force to hold the Scope or stand in place.I have been dinking around with the scope for the last few hours and so far I am impressed and a little shocked that this was working far better than I anticipated. So I am going to stop here with my review and I will update it in the couple days or so to let you all know if the scope is still on top of my list.UPDATE…….Well, I am going to hopefully make this quick. I’m sending my scope back. Why? Well, a few things like I am not able to use my iPads. Neither one of them will connect to the scope. I revisited my thoughts about allowing such sweeping permissions to my photo library and decided to retract the permissions which screws up the ability to capture pictures or videos from the scope. So that in itself is unacceptable. The manufacturers claim of resolution of power (50X-1000X) is bogus. I will be implementing my return upon completion of this update.Yesterday, I happened to discover a little secret about my iPhone and an application that I have always had but never used. That will change immediately! I am attaching a couple more photos to show the capability of using my iPhone WITHOUT any accessory or special device to take these photos. Please note that I made a tiny yellow mark in the lower left corner of the image to indicate that it was taken by my iPhone. The images pose the question of “Why do I need this device (scope) if I can achieve this quality from my iPhone?” I happen to have a tripod that I can mount my iPhone on to achieve what the cheap stand that comes with the scope could not do. I happen to have an iPhone 13 Pro Max.
  • Awesomeness!!!
For the money, this thing is super cool and fun to use. I use it to look at trichomes and it gets you hella close. Super cool. If youre a bored man, i recommend this because the things you can zoom in on is crazy. Connects to your phone through a free app. Then your phone is the screen. No cords.
  • Good value, but no USB and they make you give access to all of your photos.
Seems to be a good product so far. It was supposed to come with a USB, but it did not. I have had no issues with connectivity – I use my iPad. The photo I attached is a fire ant – graduations are in 32s of an inch. The base slides around a bit, so it is easily move away from the target. Also, they make give access to ALL of your photos on the device you use to connect the microscope to.Overall I think it was a good buy.
  • 100% would recommend
The quality of this thing blew my mind for the price. It connects to your phone via it’s own Wi-Fi signal and It works flawlessly for checking trichomes
  • A few instructions to get started with this terrific microscope!!
Below is my 5 star review which I still agree with! I love this microscope. It’s fun and easy to use. BUT if you need to use the stand with it which I often do because my hands aren’t steady enough to get a good view of things, sadly the tightening mechanism in the stand doesn’t work. It can’t hold the microscope in a position that allows you to use the stand. It falls down :(Below is my 5 star review which is accurate! The 1 star review above is about the stand only.Got this product to see if there were dust mites in my house! In one photo, you can see a piece of paper towel with a small amount of dust that was in a drawer. In the other photo, you can see what the dust looks like, looking through the digital microscope!! (To be honest, I’m not exactly sure what it shows! Maybe there are mites in there? I don’t know!????‍♂️)When I bought it, I was sure it was going to be too difficult to figure out how to use. Then I discovered the microscope comes with a user manual!A couple of things to know…It needs to be charged before you use it. Charging cable is included. Charge it through a wall outlet. It says it takes about two hours or so to charge. In the back you’ll see a red light coming from inside which tells you it needs to be charged and when it’s fully charged the light will turn blue. The manual says it will stay charged for three hours.Download the app Max-seeTurn the microscope on before opening the app.Open the app… Launch it… Connect it to Wi-Fi. It may say it’s Not connected, but it is!What the microscope is pointed at now shows up on your phone screen! There is also a way to connect it to your computer, but I connected it to my phone so I could walk around with it.It asks to have access to my photos, but I did not allow it basically because I wasn’t sure if this was a safe thing to do.When I saw something on my phone screen that I wanted to take a photo of I took a screenshot. You can also press one of the buttons on the microscope to take a photo. You will surely develop your own methods!!Enjoy using it!!????
  • This is a cheap, goA4
I love this quick go-to!As with anyone who has a wide collection of plants, pests will eventually introduce themselves. I have over 400 plants, some cheap, some very costly. This is a quick go-to for checking my leaves for pests and or pest eggs.Download the app, hook it to your WiFi, and your phone cameras acts as the screen video through the app. It’s pretty neat and cheap.I like it. It works well.
  • Fair
Meh, a little weak but it’s ok if your not looking for deep magnification and it’s kinda hard to stabilize.
  • Great microscope
Great price for a microscope you can take on the go with you. Awesome for seeing trichomes with a pretty good range for zooming in and out

What Customers Say:

  • This is a great buy.
It’s the perfect item for a coin collector. It works great. Very easy to use. Nice to travel with. We’re very satisfied with the quality. It has several functions that makes it really nice.
  • Good view- a good value
Simple to set up. I am still exploring all the features, but it is very versatile and good.
  • Respect for your tools.
To read the instructions it’s pretty cheap. It’s not a high-quality strong built scaled but it’s great. It works wonderful if you’re treated and respected I say show it a little love and it’ll last you a long time. It’s actually one of my favorite items. I love using it for working on Coins and a few other things but like I said you gotta respect it because it’s not like I said a high quality scale, but it is awesome if you respect it.
  • Great for old eyes!
The media could not be loaded. So i got this to be able to look at coins. As my eyes are worthless looking at small details! I love the way it can be moved up or down and refocused, the light helps so much. It does have a scale, but at this time, I havent used it. It is plastic, but seems ok for the moneyThe only con is it just shuts off in the middle of me using it. I thought maybe it was after a certain time,it would automatically shut down, but it could be after using for 2, 5,15 minutes, there’s no set time,it just powers off( and is fully charged or on charger)Thats why im not giving 5 stars
  • Great for coins.
Love it. I got this for looking at coins and it has been a game changer for seeing errors and checking weight of coins. So much easier on my old eyes. For what I bought it for it has been great.
  • Good quality
Kids really like it to help with their coin collection
  • Poor optics mismatched to sensor
ok for price but optics aren’t correct to provide a full field of view. A coin is round and an HD 16:9 sensor needs a different focal length to provide a 1:1 field of view. Not enough working distance to provide a 1:1 view. 16:9 sensor is rectangular so it crops the top and bottom of the coin in the view.
  • Great for beginners!
The quality on the screen is ok, but if you want to invest in a higher end then for sure spend more money on something more higher quality. Other than that easy way to start for quality checking Pokemon cards, light and easy to put together or break apart. In the end the value and as a start up is good for beginners and I really love it!
