I’ve been using this steamer for several months, and it has been exceptional. It heats up quickly, is easy to operate, and feels solid and well-built. While different fabrics require varying steaming times, it handles each one effectively and delivers excellent results.

I needed a steamer to get the wrinkles out of 20 oversized table cloths for a women’s conference. The cloths were too large to try to iron on a regular ironing board.I could not find a cleaners that could press them because of the size. Was told that they did not have a steam table large enough.I was desperate and pushed for time to get the table cloths done in time for the conference. I checked Amazon and found this steamer. After looking at the reviews, I decided to take a chance, so I ordered two (2) of them.So glad I did. Excellent steamers for the cost. Steam is hot and got the job done in a little of no time. Please be careful and follow the instructions. The steam is very hot and the steamer should be used with caution. Heats up fast, no water leakage.Excellent pressing. I only had to press each side once. The fabric was nylon/cotton blend. One would have thought that the cloths were professionally done. I was very satisfied with my purchase.

This steamer won’t create a freshly ironed/straight from the dry cleaner 100% wrinkle free effect, but does an excellent job for day to day, ‘I made an effort’ look.It depends on the fabric…I ordered this for next day delivery after I realized a shirt (synthetic fibers) I wanted to wear to an event the next night had fallen off the hanger and had been sitting and gathering wrinkles. Usually I wash on gentle in a garment bag, and if I hang it to dry immediately, gravity takes the wrinkles out. I didn’t have enough time to do this and still have time for it to dry completely. For a lightweight poly/cotton blend, the steamer did take out every single wrinkle.While it was hot, I tried it on another lightweight 100% cotton shirt I usually dry clean, and it took out ‘most’ of the wrinkles, or took it to from a point of not wanting to be seen in public with it, to it being acceptable (kind of the same state as though it had been ironed, but had been worn for a few hours).I then tried it on a pretty thickly woven 100% linen tunic that I usually dry clean but had tried to wash and hang by hand to save money. Before I got the steamer, I was about to resort to taking it to the dry cleaners, but…. the steamer did struggle a bit, but after several minutes it did become ‘has been worn for a few hours’ wrinkly vs creased all over with wrinkles. If I had spent a lot more time and used more finesse with it, I likely might have been able to get all the wrinkles out, but I decided this one may be one to just keep taking to the cleaner.In sum, for some synthetics or synthetic blends, it’s great. For more naturally prone to wrinkle fibers, it is great for a more casual and presentable, ‘I didn’t just pulled this off of the floor’ look.I wouldn’t count on it for a more formal or crisp look for say, job interviews. Plan ahead and drag out the ironing board or take it to a dry cleaners instead. HHowever, If you are like me and can’t stand ironing or, if you don’t want to continue to spend an arm and a leg at the dry cleaner for less formal wear that could really be washed on gentle cycles and hung to dry and be fine with a quick but not perfectly crisp de-wrinkling, this is a great investment.Aside, it does heat up pretty quickly. If you give it a good couple of minutes rather than the 40 seconds the instructions say, it will be more effective. The whole to fill up the water is a bit small and awkward, but do-able with a little creativity.I didn’t have distilled water on hand, but tap water in my area isn’t that hard, so I’m not going to bother with buying jugs of distilled water from the store. If you are constantly struggling with lime and calcium residue in your bathroom, ya, I’d get distilled water, but if your build up is very minimal… up to you.

I bought this Conair clothes steamer in a bit of a rush because I suddenly realized I had a multi-day conference ahead of me, and my suits and sports jackets were in storage (thank you Amazon Prime). The clothes were clean enough in their zip-up plastic bags, but quite wrinkly. A number of online reviews had this unit as the number 1 pick or close, and I see why.LIKESBuild quality — This is a huge, heavy beast of a steamer. The giant steam head alone is as big as a brick, and HEAVY, and all the plastics feel designed for heavy use. The buttons are solid, the cord is thick, and it just seems ready to go forever out of the box. Not common in our era of disposable appliances.Power — This unit claims to put out over 1800 watts, and I believe it. Just a few seconds gets it the steam ready to go, and I never felt I needed to go past “2” or “3” out of the five available power settings. It makes a lot of steam and works fast.Efficacy — I see people talking about how many “passes” are required to remove wrinkles, and I did need a few, but I was frankly a bit scared of the higher power levels, which might have sped things up. Still only talking about 5 minutes or so to steam a suit jacket and pants. The crease clip on top of the head (see below) worked great and having used it, I’d rather not be without that feature.I’ve read that some of these machines “spit” water before the steam is ready, and it neither spit nor leaked water anywhere.The “sole plate” on the front of the steamer is not perfectly flat, but it’s covered in a non-stick material, so I think you could “iron” with it if you felt the need. I just didn’t because it took out all my wrinkles with the clothes right on the hanger. This thing takes out wrinkles FAST.Features — I like that it has those power settings (not that common in these devices) and the bright lights that show you how high you have the device set all the time.The sturdy, separate buttons for on/off and steam are good as well. The power cord is long enough at 6 feet, and I like that Conair included a prong cover and a ratcheting cord keeper strap that is sturdy enough to keep with the unit. I really appreciate that the machine has a flat bottom on the handle that allows you to securely stand it up on the counter as you work.The water reservoir is large, and I never came close to using it up steaming two jackets and a pair of pants. The “crease clip” on top of the head worked great for sharpening the creases on my dress pants. I don’t know if I’ll use the “delicates” attachment, but it’s nice to have.NOT SO LIKESNot much, but I intend to bring this unit with me on my trip, and it is going to take up a lot of space in the suitcase. It doesn’t fold or swivel, and at 13” long and two very solid pounds, it’s a bit of a beast. If you travel a lot, you may want something sleeker to take with you. Nevertheless, a travel case or pouch would have been nice to have, and there is none included.The hole to fill the large water tank is small, but wasn’t a problem. I did have a little trouble with the silicone plug that closes that hole, which has a tab on it for easy lifting, but which can get in the way when you’re trying to press it down. The small hole also means you can’t easily get the unit completely empty of water, but i think that’s in the nature of this kind of device. I just turned the tank on its head on a towel and left it for a while, which you need to do anyway because it stays hot for quite a while.CONCLUSION – This is the steamer to get if you want the job done right and aren’t bothered by a bit of bulk. It’s a deadly serious, wrinkle-crushing piece of equipment to keep in the laundry room and, in a pinch, on a trip if you have the room.Five big, steamy stars.

This works great! It produces a high volume of steam, and the various attachments work well. Feels very solid and well built, with a long power cord. The water reservoir is small, but that also reduces the weight in hand. 1 reservoir full easily handled a 2 suit jackets and a pair of dress pants. Use distilled water, as advised.

I’m extremely impressed with this BLACK+DECKER product! It’s powerful, reliable, and very easy to use. The build quality feels solid, and it performs exactly as expected. Setup was quick, and the instructions were clear.

I don’t iron as much as I had in the past … in fact very little. The old iron I had finally gave up the ghost so I needed a new, basic iron, and this is a VERY basic iron but seems adequate for occasional use. One of the things I did not like about it is there is no way to turn off the steam function if you need to use dry high heat (which my old iron had). If you have water in the reservoir, you need to empty it, wherein lies the other issue. The small water fill slot is somewhat awkward and you have to pour the water in very slowly and at an awkward angle. If you want to empty the reservoir, it has to come out the same slot and you have to turn the iron upside down and rotate through various angles to get all the water out. In my opinion, this is a very poor design. Speaking of water, the instruction sheet states that you can use tap water. Depending on your water hardness, this may be an issue in the long term as minerals will tend to build up. You can descale using vinegar, but you can avoid having do that by using distilled water, which has no minerals. The instructions also say to not use whole-house softened water. Likely this is due to the fact that most softening systems use salt to soften the water, this too can build up and ruin the iron. To stay safe, again I would recommend using distilled water (not purified drinking nor spring water, which contain minerals), which is usually readily available at most grocery stores and not very expensive. It does have an auto-off feature if laying flat or on its side for over three minutes, or if it sits vertically for over eight minutes (though laying flat for three minutes will likely burn your fabric and may start a fire). I did not try out this feature but if it works, it works. It does have a spray nozzle if you need extra dampness to get a stubborn wrinkle(s) out. When you turn the heat selection dial to the steam function (4 or higher) there is a bit of resistance felt on the dial and perhaps this is due to a mechanical function of using steam. Not sure, but it may be normal. It does NOT do vertical steaming (i.e. steam when iron is held vertically), which is useful for removing wrinkles from fabrics hanging vertically, such as curtains, without having to remove them and lay them flat. There are other models and brands that offer this feature, but at a bit more cost. The iron uses 1200 watts of electricity (which is 10 amps on a 120 volt service) so keep that in mind when using and be sure you are not using another high wattage appliance (such as microwave, toaster or hair-dryer) on the same circuit at the same time if say, you are using a 20 amp circuit, which is normally the highest on a single household 120 volt circuit.SUMMARY: For the cost, this appears to be an adequate basic iron for occasional use. If you need more features, you can find those in other models, though at a higher cost. The biggest issue I have with this is the awkward water filling/emptying.

This steamer would be a good investment for people like me who do their laundry to ensure few wrinkles; however, no matter how hard you try, you will always have a wrinkle here and there. And this steamer is small but works miracles when it comes to those tiny wrinkles. It is travel friendly, easy to store, and compact. I am satisfied with the purchase because I knew it was something other than what I would use daily. There are instances when a minor crease in my clothing makes me lazy about getting out the iron and performing all that extra work. I did not need it for anything significant, in other words. I was excited to try it when it arrived, so I did. At first, I was frightened because there did not appear to be any steam coming out, but after 3 minutes, I saw smoke, so I recommend giving it some time after being plugged in to get it operating. I had never used a steamer before and was highly pleased. It contains enough water to complete at least one outfit. To avoid water spurting out, don’t fill it up. Be cautioned not to put your hands or skin too close to the blue nozzle because this machine part gets hot. Despite being portable and simple, I tried a steamer because it doesn’t leave wrinkles and lines like an iron. And just as expected, the steam did wonders for me in removing wrinkles. I also used the included brush, which worked equally effectively both ways. Although it works wonders, I would not suggest it to someone who plans to use it frequently because it is time-consuming and doesn’t work as well on oversized clothing. It has undoubtedly been put to use and has been helpful on numerous occasions. Getting wrinkle-free clothing has become necessary for travel and daily life. The functionality of this product is excellent, given its size and cost. The product heats up quickly and is a perfectly manageable size. Use filtered or purified water to avoid limescale buildup that could damage equipment and stain garments. Although it removes wrinkles rapidly, it cannot replace ironing. The product is excellent overall, and I suggest it unless you plan to use it frequently for formal attire because doing so requires a lot of time. But don’t let it deter you from purchasing it. It’s smaller than one would expect, it looks almost like a toy of a steamer, but don’t let that fool you— it works really well. It’s a little annoying to empty out due to the shape of the mouth of the steamer, but it has not given me a single issue. Its size hasn’t given me an issue whatsoever, if anything it’s great to know I have an option to take it with me even in a carry-on if I want to. As long as you follow all the instructions, this is a solid steamer that heats up in a pinch.

Weight is great, however it spits out a lot of water. I even reduced water well below the max line. That is why rating this a 3. If you don’t mind that and I do go for it. Literally had to wipe the floor for the water that spewed out. It does the job but a bit messy. The cost was low and would have returned but just used this today. Again outside of the water every thing else was fine.

Small and lightweight- perfect to use at home or to pack and bring along for travel. I used it to steam a dress for a wedding I was attending. It was quick to get all the wrinkles out and there were no accidental water marks made anywhere on the dress. To much easier and more efficient than my regular iron.

I got it for my button-up shirts, our costumes, and dresses that got wrinkled in our suitcases. This little guy saved my SO from a lot of frustration. Let me start with a disclaimer: I am writing this review after only using the product once, but i will update if my experience changes after continued use.I bought this steamer as a gift for my wife who wanted something simple to use and portable. The materials used seem decent enough for the price, it’s small (definitely portable), and there’s really nothing to using it other than filling it up and turning it on, which is exactly what she was looking for.I tested it out on one of my work shirts (before/after in pictures) that was particularly wrinkly (left in washer too long before being hung on rack to dry).I filled the unit up to just below the max line and turned it on. After about 1-2 minutes the unit was boiling and steam was steadily flowing out of the nozzle (this is essentially the same thing as an electric kettle but forces the steam from the boiling water out 5 small holes in the nozzle). I SLOWLY worked from bottom to top of the shirt on the front, back, and sleeves. After applying steam to all sides for about 4-5 mins total, I had the wrinkles down to a level that would be deemed acceptable for work in the office. Keep in mind that this unit is quite small (which is what makes it so portable), but the tradeoff for this is it doesnt produce nearly as much steam as a floor unit and hence takes more passes to achieve the “wrinkle-free(ish)” look.If you’re a big wig at a fortune 500 company, the results from this product certainly wont compare to a press from a dry cleaner (or even a decent ironing job from someone that knows what they’re doing), but the results would be perfectly acceptable for normal office work or casual events.If you’re looking for something to replace your iron that gets the job done just as well in half the time, then I’d recommend going with a larger floor unit steamer. Excellent product, it does exactly what it says in the demonstration videos. It makes ironing a very pleasant task. Keep in mind that it consumes a lot of water, you can iron a maximum of three with a single load, but that’s a good thing because it means the amount of steam is good. Keep in mind that every time you turn it on, at least the first time, it’s normal to hear a knocking sound, but check that the water tank is full, just in case

This works but it takes longer than just ironing. Also maybe works less than normal steamer. Someone borrowed my steamer and didn’t return so I got this one. It works but it takes longer than normal steamers. The vacuum piece works but maybe too well because it sucks up the steam too. Ironing would be quicker but requires way more equipment. Overall it’s it works, just not the quickest.

The magic 1 hand held, travel garment, vacuum steamer for clothes is awesome! It has 2300Pa suction for good fabric grip, featured exclusive airIron technology and works amazingly! I am a big fan of steaming clothes vs ironing them. It is such a time saver and switch this having such a quick heat up time you can steam an item quicker then it would take to set up an ironing board. I am an over packer, but I guess it you weren’t it if you are checking luggage and using a bigger bag it would be good to travel with as well.

I have lots of sports jackets and suites which can’t be dry cleaned often. I found this vacuum steamer very helpful to iron them. Also doing vacuum without steaming, remove dust from coats for staying in closet for months. This steamer is more durable and has wide coverage compared to others. I can also carry it with me while traveling.

I paid $84.99 for this which is an outrageous price for what this is.Positives:1- The suction is a nice feature which does grab on to your item making it easier to keep contact while steaming.2- It feels sturdy in my hand.Negatives:1- Water reservoir is too small. Others commented on this but I did not think it would be an issue, it is an issue. I had to stop and refill steaming 1 item.2 – How do I set this thing down while steaming if I need both my hands to reposition my garment? My other steamers all stand so I can set them down. I need to either put this on its side or upside down. Neither positions feels secure and it’s just a matter of time until this falls from the counter to the floor while using it.3 – The cost is outrageous for such a small simple handheld appliance. It should cost less than half of what I paidNeutral:I steamed a new sweater to see how it worked. It took me over 11 minutes to steam the packaging wrinkle out of this sweater, needed to refill the water reservoir 1 time. I would like to have done this in half that time without having to refill the water reservoir.

Finally new technology in streaming clothes. I don’t know how this works but it does! The feature that has a suction feature doesn’t drip water and works great on silky fabrics as well as linen and cotton. The only drawback is it doesn’t hold enough water before needing to be refilled.

An amazing steamer! I had one of the floor stand ones that was supposed to be high-powered. But it broke after a half a dozen uses.This one, even though it says it has slightly less watts, does a faster heat up and a faster wrinkle remove then the big floor model.It really means it when it says it will heat up in 30 seconds. There is no waiting. And yet it removes even the most stubborn wrinkles in fabrics that have been folded and vacuum sealed in their Amazon boxes.My photos don’t do it justice, but these curtains came with horrible vertical and horizontal wrinkles. But in just a few minutes, they were wrinkle free.

This is labeled as a clothes steamer but I use it all over my houseAfter washing my curtains I love smoothing out the wrinkles with this plus is great for things other than fabrics.We usually have some craft project going on in our home and this is great for removing sticker/ label residue.Another great thing about this steamer is how tolerable it is with its acceptance of water. I know it sounds silly but previous steamers I’ve had would develop that hard water gunk at the bottom even when using bottled water and this one hasn’t acted up the few times I used the tap water (my city has super hard water) so of course that’s a plus!

I am one of those girlies who absolutely do not like to iron. Mommy does. So, when I put on clothes that are wrinkled and tell her the wrinkles will fall out once we get moving, that is completely unacceptable to her. I decided to try a steamer! My first streamer! Of all the choices available, this one seemed to be the best option for me. I took it out of the box today, August 24, purchased it August 16. I needed to make sure I had distilled water before my first use. This steamer fits easily and comfortably in the hand, heats up quickly. I suggest waiting 30 seconds before use. Just me. When I initially put the steamer to a garment, it spat out a bit of water. I do not believe this will be an ongoing issue, however, I still suggest waiting 30 seconds or so, then begin steaming. I cannot comment on noise level because I have not used it enough to know. Seems it will work well. I do not have a mit to hold garments. That steam is hot, and it spreads! I believe I will be happy with this steamer, and I know MOMMY will be happy I will not go out in wrinkled clothes. Saying the wrinkles will fall out as I move around is no more. Great price, it seems to be a great product. I took off one star only because I have not used it enough as yet.

Makes getting ready so much easier. The shape of the steamer makes it easy to work quickly with a lot of control. I like to use an ironing board and glide the face of the steamer along the garment, it works so well! When you turn it on the heat up, it will start steaming immediately after it is ready, but I don’t mind because I am usually using it to just quickly steam my clothes before getting dressed.

I was skeptical about steamers as I’m an old school person who has always used a traditional steam iron. I decided to buy this steamer after I found myself not wearing clothes that needed ironing or just wearing clothes wrinkled. The description of this steamer is 100% accurate. It heats up and starts emitting strong steam very quickly after you plug it in. The water tank is large enough to use many times over. After using, I find that steaming is much easier than ironing-my use of a hook for hanging, hand smoothing, and steaming combo gets the job done. Warnings: There’s an older model that is cheaper but hey newer models are often better and this one cost more but is more streamlined. Note that heavier ingrained creasing may require more than steam. I use distilled water in the tank to avoid build up (very cheap and last a long time) and that is definitely worth it.

OK, who likes to drag out the ironing board and heavy iron to press clothes?! I certainly don’t and after researching hand steamers, I chose this one based on the reviews regarding the longer cord, and the fact it didn’t have a tiny hole to fill the tank with water. I “ironed” 2 pair of jeans, shorts, and 3 shirts on one tank – not bad! I also liked the fact that I could use tap water. I have really hard water, so I will use distilled water, but it’s nice to know that I can use tap water in a pinch. I chose a steamer with higher wattage, figuring it would do a better job of creating steam.

WOW!! This steamer really surprised me. I bought it especially for a trip i was taking and considering I’m not much of a packer, I thought I would give it a go. The first wrinkled shirt i pulled out was a challenge indeed, but this steamer took every wrinkle out of that shirt in record time. They did not return, there was no slight trace of a wrinkle, and it did not make my clothes wet or limp. I was amazed! The next shirt was a repeat of the first. I can’t verbalize how exceptional I think this product is. It heated up in a matter of seconds and using it was a breeze. My clothes looked like they were professionally pressed. The water level barely moved while doing my clothing. I would recommend this steamer to anyone and I will be using it at home instead of breaking out the ironing board from now on.
