    I spent quite a bit of time reading reviews and watching YouTube videos on the various pizza ovens available for sale, including propane, wood, and electric. I finally settled on the Solo Pi Prime oven because of the fuel source (propane), simplicity of operation, and performance. Setup was incredibly simple, consisting of unboxing, placing the cooking stones, and connecting the propane cylinder. Then, after a one hour initial burn-in to remove any manufacturing dust, I started making pizzas. I highly recommend a digital thermometer to measure inside stone temps (mine was $13 from Amazon). After a 30 minute preheat on high the middle of the stone was 875 degrees! I turned the temp knob down to medium and tossed in the first pizza. It was ready in under two minutes, rotating every 30 seconds or so. The results were exactly what I was hoping for as the pictures attest to. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a lower cost, portable, and highly effective outdoor pizza oven.

    When we bought this, I was dubious about whether it would produce a pizza that tasted close to wood fired. We think it definitely does. If you haven’t tried a home pizza oven like this, it may take a few trys to get it right. We burned more than one, lol. It bakes so fast that you have to babysit it and turn it often to prevent it from over charring. We love hosting make your own pizza night with friends. It’s a conversation starter and It’s fun to let people prepare and bake their own personal pizza. Be sure to invest in at least 2 pizza peels that are somewhat smaller than inside your oven.

    Cooks pizza fairly evenly does not use a ton of propane easy to move around. Only con I can think of is that I’ve had a really hard time getting crispy crust out of it. I’ve cooked on it maybe I don’t know 15-20 times now. I’ve been experimenting with lower hydration dough to see if I can get the dough to crisp at roughly the same rate as the toppings cook I think im gonna be able to get it dialed in… this oven is a great value!

    While being of a smaller size than the original wall oven my grandmother had, it had a fair capacity. So far it has made cake, pizza, and shepherds pie. All turned out well (though a hiccup occurred with the cake since my grandma didn’t want to read the chart for the recommended setting).Besides not using the reference chart, my grandma (and I) like the simplicity of use. It has a decent range of settings, though I know she will only be using one setting in all likelihood. The dials make most of it straight forward, and the settings are in simple pictures that are easy to understand once you know what each symbol represents. (Ex: top bar means top heat, bottom bar is bottom heat, top and bottom bars is for both at once).Another boon is the timer doubling as a safety feature. If the timer is not turned on, it will simply not turn on… so too does to stop heating when the timer is up.The oven looks very nice, and is very easy to clean. The rack shelves are removeable. The included included pan seems to be finished with something that also prevents sticking. For such an affordable price, this oven just seems to be quite good quality.The oven was fairly light, so I had no issues getting it set. The only down side so far, depending on how you look at it, is the oven came with a chord, but no plug. Potential downside for those who know nothing about attaching a plug (it was lucky for grandma that I had learned previously when replacing one for my vacuum cleaner… but also quite easy to learn to do). Alternatively, it was fortunate not to have to concern ourselves with replacing an existing plug or needing an adapter to fit our outlet.So, despite being on the smaller side, this oven was everything my grandma needed to get baking again. Let us just say that there were many months of fried food and crock pot meals since her oven went out. I’m glad I could be of assistance in helping her find this gem and install it.

    The first time I used this oven, the rotisserie worked perfectly for roasting a chicken. However, the very next day, it stopped functioning. I reached out to customer service for assistance, but they said someone would call me within 24 hours, and I never received that call. I cannot recommend this product; it’s best to avoid it to steer clear of any issues.

    We live in an RV and removed the propane units some time ago. For a while we were using an extra large OSTER countertop oven but we wanted something a little better. We bought this oven and when it came it was damaged by shipping. I called the number on the box and the company responded immediately and said they would be glad to replace it but suggested that it would probably be quicker if I did it through Amazon. It was. We got the replacement oven a few days later. Some people have said that it is a little confusing to program but it is fairly straight forward and my wife picked it up quickly.The oven heats up quickly and bakes very well, in fact the max temperature of 482 was one feature that appealed to me. I love the fact that it is so versatile. It has 4 heating elements and you can combine them for whatever special heating needs you have. These are controlled by the 10 function settings. You can adjust your time and temperature on these functions You also have 8 programmed functions for specific items. My only con on this oven is that the clock is always on. It would be nice if the timer would show instead. To see the timer however is just one press on the time button and the time left displays for about 4-5 seconds.Customer service is very responsive. I give them an AAA+.Looking at their website, they have some very good other appliances for sale. Their choice of appliances seem to be of very high quality and usefulness. One of the reasons I chose this brand was because it had less 1 and 2 star reviews percentage wise than other brands. I can see why. The oven I purchased is well built and the customer service is excellent.I would recommend that you have some insulation between the oven and the walls. I set the oven at max temp (482) for 30 minutes and the outside walls of the oven measured 170 degrees. A long way from starting a fire but it is good to be safe with the extra insulation.

It looks super sleek with the stainless steel finish and touch controls, and it fits perfectly in the 24″ built-in space.The oven heats up quickly and cooks really evenly, especially with the convection setting. I’ve already tried a few of the automatic recipe functions and they’ve worked great—makes dinner prep a lot easier.The controls are simple to figure out, the timer is accurate, and the child safety lock gives peace of mind. It’s also surprisingly quiet for how powerful it is.If you’re looking for a stylish and reliable oven for a smaller kitchen or apartment, this one’s a great option. It’s definitely an upgrade from what we had before!

    Arrived quickly but had to return The glass door was broken. Had to request refund and it was picked up timely and money was returned w no problems. Reordered and have received replacement but have not opened it yet. Will update review when we do.I am giving this 3 stars for now bc everything was great, minus the glass being broke. This is an odd size for oven so choices are limited without spending over $1000. This is a good buy and value for the money.

    I love that it’s a convection oven also! The size is perfect, and it comes with a quick recipe guide! Also, some reviews have said it’s in Celsius so it’s hard to use, but as you can see on the photo, the upgraded version, which this is, can be easily switched to Fahrenheit. It’s so simple to use, not too many buttons or unnecessary functions. Also, a fabulous deal at this price!

  • Over all it’s a good affordable oven
    The media could not be loaded. Pros: Oven works great. Delivery was fast.Cons: It was dented in a few places that we had to fix before installing and the face plate had to be glued back on. Operating instructions are hard to understand. I think I got it figured out so I attached a short video on how to operate the convection setting for anyone it may help.Edited to add that my old oven did not have convection so I’m still learning. So far on the convection setting it cooks alot quicker than the recipe calls for so I’m trying out shortening cook times vs lowering the temperature to see which works best.

    This oven has been great. We’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and works perfectly. Temps are accurate, checked with Thermopro, and does the job intended. It arrived on time, however the box was BADLY damaged, the oven was intact except for a small dent that is behind the cabinet trim. The damage wasn’t the manufacturers or Amazon’s fault. We use it nearly every day. The timer buttons have a tendency to stick a little, but the timer and clock work great. I think it is a great product, for the price!

    This stove was dented in several places with one huge dent in the back and a couple of smaller ones on the top and sides the clock timer part of it is a push button setup which stuck in as soon as I touched them making the timer and clock useless which I didn’t really need but it should have worked being brand new so after that I turned it on an$ did the first run as per instructions and it only ran about 5 to 7 minutes and just quit.   • Good Value, Nice Oven, packaging marginal
    I purchased two of these ovens couple of days apart so I could look and evaluate prior to ordering the second one. You will not find a better price on this unit. One of my ovens is spot on thermostat wise. The second one is 50 degrees off. So if one requires 400 best set at 450. All ovens of this type are manufactured in China. Quality is OK. Packaging, although upgraded from previous reviews still lacks in protection. This oven weighs about 70 pounds. The unit, at the factory is placed on a cardboard tray and the main box is slipped over the unit with wood and styrofoam for protection. 4 1/4″ nylon staps fasten the box to the tray. The first unit I received was missing all four straps and was bound together with shipping tape. There was some concealed damage, however, I decided to risk it and the oven works OK. The second unit arrived intact, however, two of the 4 straps were missing. I would not want to be the distributor of these units, for sure. Read the one year conditional warranty as if repair is required the unit must be removed and taken to a specified repair shop. I purchased a three year extended warranty through Amazon which will give me two additional years of protection. Gonna guess still have to pull it out for repairs. So for $440 plus tax and if you have prime for free delivery the unit is quite adequate. BTW when installing remove the door as that will knock about 20# off the unit weight.

    Was delivered on time and I am really pleased with this Magic Chef wall oven ???? it fit my space great I had been looking for one for a while it’s hard to find a 24 in in black..thank you…
  • Arrived damaged
    The Box was damaged on arrival however there was no visible damage on the outside of the unit so we didn’t return the unit. When we installed it and opened the door there was a dent on the inside of the door and the glass was pushed out of its seals. We had to removed the outside of the door as well as the interior glass and reseat the seals and reassemble the door. The interior of the door is still dented and the paint is significantly damaged but we went ahead and installed as it was for a rental unit and they needed the oven.

    The oven arrived dented. I was able to turn it on to test it. I set the temperature to 475° and it heated to 500°. I was not able to turn on the interior light while the oven was on although the manual says that you can, I could not figure it out. The controls are very confusing. There is only one rack inside. One big plus is that the oven is very quiet and I like the appearance.

    DO NOT BUY ! Worst appliance I have ever bought! Unfortunately I did not get to install this oven before the return time ran expired. After it was installed I saw the racks they are so cheap, thin, flimsy and will bend. Had I unboxed my self it would have been sent right back. It only has a top heating element which makes cooking in it a nightmare. The oven temperature is not regulated correctly. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I am buying another new oven . I am so dissatisfied and disappointed with this purchase.
  • Hard to lite and temp not accurate
    It is difficult to lite. You have to hold the pilot sparker long enough for the pilot to stay on. It is hard to know if the pilot lit. You have to do this each time you use the oven. The temperature setting is off by over 50 deg F.

    I am having trouble with the oven function board. Sometimes I have to reset the breaker eventhough it was not tripped. Still investigating the problem.

    Works ok if you ever get on. Controls or hard to understand and get what you want. One step out of sequence and have to reset the power bracker. Very annoying

    We totally love this oven. It can be a little bit tricky to install it and get into your first use.I guess it’s made for the european market. That would explain the symbols for the wiring and the fact that the temperature settings for the Fahrenheit user go by odd steps. The oven was programmed in Celsius and calculates in Fahrenheit, if you need it. (Fahrenheit is by the way the stupidest unit ever.)You can easily switch between both units, just with long touching the key (lock) button.Even without any useful manual, it’s not that hard to figure out how everything works; if you don’t live at the dark side of the moon.One more useful tip. The light goes off after a while. To turn it back on, just touch the key button short and then ok.

  • Brand new oven doesn’t work
    Oven did not work right out of the box. Thermocoupler not working. It was under warranty and they sent me the part, but I have to pay to have it installed. They said they would reimburse me so I’ll see. Can’t believe it was apparently broken when it was shipped.

    Absolutely love this oven! I’ve had it for a year. The true convection roast will get you some great temperatures and quickly. I use the broil function for making toast- the oven is so fast. To turn on the oven light, I learned to touch the unlock button, then “OK”. The stainless Steel band across the bottom does get hot, so be cautious with pets and children.

    When I placed my order, I didn’t notice that it would come with convection function. My old oven wan’t convectional, so I have position to say that convection plays a key role in cooking food evenly and quickly. I had this oven for almost a week so far. Very good quality, we like this oven.

I thanked her for the compliment and took the pumpkin pie out with my oven mitts. “You know I have never had a better baking experience than I have with my Empava.” I said putting the pie down on the potholder. “What do you mean?” She said with an innocent inquizitivenes that made me smile and answer, “I just bought a CDN Oven Thermometer, the most accurate thermometer available on Amazon and when I placed it in the oven and turned the knob to 350 that thermometer read 350 on the dot afer only a few minutes.” The incrdulous look on her face spoke volumes. I took her by the hand towards the enormous glass front and pointed while I turned on the light inside the oven. As her gaze fixed upon the thermometer hanging from the crome plated oven rack she looked at me and then back to the satin finish knob set exactly at 350. Her mouth, slightly agape, from which you could hear the soft hum she made clearly indicating she was amazed. “I want you to taste my pie” I said “I think you will be even more amazed.” She put her pinky to ker cheek playfully and smiled. “Wake Up!” She roared.I was having such a beautiful dream. My mouth was watering for some pie. Instead, “What is it?!?!” I said. Angrily she muttered, “The oven is set to 350 and is bareley warm inside.     The racks that came with the oven did not fit. Of course I did not realize this until I had completely installed it with difficult modifications to my cabinet. I spent a great deal of time on the phone and they assured me a different set of racks would fit. Not even close. I spent hours on Amazon but NO ONE makes the right size racks. I don’t understand how anyone gives this a good review. Maybe my ovens walls are bowed out or something but it looks fine. I was about ready to give up when I realized i hadn’t yet hauled off my old oven. Fortunately it’s old fashioned high quality SS racks fit nicely. I was happy for a while but now it’s intermittent and inconsistent. My first few papa murphy’s pizza’s baked just fine but then one came out way undercooked on the bottom so the next time I used the “Pizza” setting. This time the bottom apparently never came on and when the top was done the bottom was completely raw. There is no setting to turn on the bottom burner without the top coming on. It’s just JUNK!

    I bought this oven as a replacement and this Item is represented as 24 inches but is 23.2 inches with no siding fits into space like a microwave and I would have to hire a cabinet maker to make this fit properly.

    Oven at rental place only had one rack so very limited on baking. Didn’t want to purchase this, but bought and fits great and now can cook so much more in oven.
  • Poorly constructed – will be returning
    This oven is very cheaply made and it came with loose and bent pieces. We opened the box and a rectangular-cut piece of glass came out of the box as well as a rubber fitting. We started looking through the instructions to see if we needed to do something with this piece of glass but learned this is not supposed to be loose. We wired it up and realized the door would not stay open. Eventually we realized the piece of glass and rubber fitting (as well as another we found inside the door) go inside the door – giving it the extra weight to stay open.So we took it apart and put it together(it was not easy), then the door wouldn’t close. after bending a few pieces together, we eventually had it properly working but then the door would not line up correctly. Either way, it was very clear that this is a very cheap oven that is not built to last. I wasn’t expecting top quality given the price, but at least something that fits and works properly. Will be returning and spending more money on a more expensive, quality product.
