  • Versatile and Well Engineered
I have had this for several weeks now and wanted to wait until I had used it for a while before writing this review.I was looking for a portable vacuum cleaner that I could use to do frequent cleanups around the house to replace the broom and dustpan. Think using power tools for efficiency and more. There are so many of these models on the market. I already had experience with Levoit humidifiers and their excellent customer service, and liked what I saw with the 300 series cordless vacuum. My goals were as follows: I needed a vacuum that would not tangle with hair, as that is a major problem in this house (long human hair). This vacuum handles it in two ways. One: Most of the hair goes straight into the canister, where it is easily disposed of (more about that later). Two: The beater roller is easily removed, and it appears that some hair becomes twisted around the end of the roller which is very easy to remove after pulling the roller out, no tools needed. Hair problem solved.Quick cleanups: Many rooms in the house tend to attract crumbs on a daily. In the past I would pull out the broom and dust pan to sweep all of this up, and that would take a while. Now, I pull this off the hook on the wall, run it around the various rooms where I see the crumbs and I am done in record time. Then I empty the canister.Canister Cleaning: We had a bagless vacuum years ago and hated emptying and cleaning it. Dirt went everywhere and parts fell off. This one is so well designed and is easy enough to do over the kitchen trash can. The canister pops off, the center section is removable with a slight turn to the left, and it all wipes down using a paper towel. I clean it after each use, per the manufacturer’s instructions.Battery Charging: The battery can be charged on the unit or removed. The adapter plugs into the side of the battery. There are three lights on the side that flash. All three are solid, non-flashing when done charging, and then the lights turn off indicating it is fully charged. I charge the battery on the kitchen counter and circle back when it is done, to return it to the vacuum.Power Usage: I have mostly used the vacuum on level I and the vacuum displays the level of battery remaining in percent from 100% down. For me, it usually gets to 65-71%. Sometimes I kick it up to level II or III. My daughter used it at level III for her room and it drained faster, down to about 35% by the time she was done (using the power head). I am not sure how long she ran it at level III.I have removed the power head and attached the multi-use edge tool to clean along the baseboards. This is easy to do. I have not yet tried the smaller power head or cleaning the car which I plan to do at some point.I also wanted to mention that it is very quiet, much quieter than the corded vacuum that we use. I suspect we will continue using the corded vacuum on the carpets to pull out the deep dirt. Also, this power head is about 60% of the size of our corded vacuum so it takes more passes to cover the same area.Suggestions for the Manufacturer: The wall hook needs something to attach the charging cord to for those planning to charge while it is on the hook. The vacuum stick could use a clip to carry the multi-use edge cleaning tool so it is there when it is needed. The location where the vacuum is mounted could use a floor caddy to store the edge tool, the power adapter, and the smaller power head (and possibly a set of filters). (We are using a wicker basket.) The canister has a little rubber flap that catches some dirt in the edge. A small brush tool should be included to clean the dirt out of this area so the flap will fit flush again after cleaning. Finally, the Amazon bundle tries to put 200 series filters with the 300 for some reason. That should be corrected.Product Support: Before first use, the power head snapped into the upright position. I could not find anything in the instructions how to release it or any videos on the topic so I called the support number, a few minutes before the end of your support day. A man answered and provided excellent support, telling me to just press against it as it is just a friction fit. I did not want to break anything so I was happy to have his guidance. He asked if I had any other questions or needed anything else. I forget if I asked another question, but he was super helpful. I was happy that he was there right up to the last minute.
  • Finally! A vacuum under $300 that works
I have owned 4 cordless vacuum cleaners in as many years. The first was not a stick cleaner and worked well, but it was heavy and awkward and didn’t get into tight spaces. It was so heavy, it didn’t get used as much as it should have. I then bought two other stick-type vacuums, both were light and easy to maneuver, but didn’t suck up the dirt – kind of a necessary function for a vacuum cleaner. My daughter has a Dyson, which I have used. The Dyson is definitely quality, but much heavier and not as easy to operate. Surprisingly, I prefer this vacuum to the Dyson. When I bought this Levoit, it was Wow! I found one that works. I bought it specifically because I have a Levoit air filter and I love it. I figured they were a quality manufacturer and I was right. I waited for a few weeks to review the vacuum to ensure that it continued to perform well. It has. As for the pros and cons -Pros:1) it is very lightweight and easy to carry around the house.2) Emptying the dust cup is super easy and doesn’t make a mess. The dust cup removes with a simple push of a button and reattaches just as easily. I fought constantly with the prior vacuums to empty the dust cup and generally ended up covered in the dirt I had just vacuumed up. This dust cup is so easy to empty that there’s no mess.3) IT SUCKS! in the best way. No more going over the area 4 or 5 times and still leaving visible dirt.4) It works well on hardwood, tile, and carpeting. I have hardwood floors with area rugs everywhere, and it moves without a hitch between carpet and bare floors.5) The anti-hair wrap works like a dream. I have very thick hair that I was constantly pulling out of the brush when I vacuumed. I have not had to yank the hair out of the vacuum head once – a big deal to me. I don’t have pets, but I assume it would function the same for pet hair.6) The battery life is perfectly adequate for me, but it does help that I have a smaller house. I use it mostly on maximum suction, so it doesn’t last a long time. But I believe this is generally the case for most cordless stick vacuums – most reviews for these stick vacuums complain about the battery life. I think it’s a tradeoff for the lighter weight. It’s a compromise I am willing to make. But if you are comparing similar items, the battery life is equivalent to any of the others I have used.7) I LOVE that it stands up by itself! This was a dealbreaker for me. I hate to have to lean the vacuum up against something in the middle of vacuuming when you have to move something out of the way.8) I like the light on the vacuum head. It helps to see the floor in areas that aren’t brightly lit.9) It does, in fact, lay all the way down so you can get under furniture.10) There’s virtually no assembly required. It probably took 30 seconds to put together, max.Cons:1) The only small negative that I can see is that the long tube does not adjust up or down. However, I am a tall woman (5′ 9″), and it works well for me – it comes up high enough to be comfortable. So for me, this isn’t a negative.Overall, I can’t say enough positive things about this vacuum. I would choose this vacuum every time over any other that I have used. If you are trying to choose between this Levoit and another brand, I highly recommend the Levoit.

What Customers Say:

  • Overall very happy with this product.
My Usage and Overall Comments:==============================Have had the Bot for 2-3 weeks now.Mostly used on 2nd floor (bedrooms/bathrooms/Loft area) which is 90% carpet. I mapped this floor only.Occasionally used on 1st floor, which is about 50% carpet. (Not mapped).Overall it seems to do a pretty good job, keeping in mind these Bot Vacs are not meant for DEEP cleaning carpets.Much quieter than my old Neato Botvac80!Cleans my 2nd floor on a single charge with BOOST cleaning, and recharging takes about 3 hours.Overall I feel it’s a good Robot Vac, but wouldn’t spend more than $300 for it.Floor Mapping Review:==============================- My 2nd floor is about 1,000sq ft and it takes about 10-12 mins to map it.- It’s not the greatest at mapping. It will sometimes take 2-3 “Explore” runs for it to get it right because itoccasionally misses entire wall sections.- Adding/Changing/Removing Room Labels and No-Go Zones on the app is pretty easy.If you’re older, it’s easier to do it on a Tablet vs the phone.- I noticed that once it completes the entire cleaning run on the 2nd floor, it seems like it internally compares the resultswith the full map(??), and if it detects area’s that it missed it will go back to them to clean them. When it does do that, it doesn’t always clean them in the most efficient order, often running from one end of thehouse to the other to address these areas. I have also seen this behavior when tasked with cleaning a specific room. It’s will sometimes bounce around in the room getting the spots it feels it missed.- There have been times where I’ve seen it do several clockwise/counter-clockwise spins in the same spot as if it’s tryingto decide where to go next. Sometimes these crazy spins can last 30-40 seconds.- So far no problems with it finding the Base Unit and Docking with it.- Mapping is only required if you need to specify No-Go Zones or want the ability to vac a specific room(s) so you CANdo like in my case, map the most commonly vacuumed floor (ie: 2nd floor) then manually initiate a cleaning for the 1st floor.(see more about mapping in my “CONS” section).Detailed Review:==============================PROS:- It’s fairly quiet. You can actually have a conversation standing next to it as it’s cleaning.- Their SHARK CLEAN app is easy to use. Again, if you are older using it on a Tablet (larger screen0 will be a better experience.- The self-vacuuming / evacuation unit works well, typically removing 95% of the bot vac’s contents.- So far have not had any issues with it getting stuck in a corner, going over room thresholds/transitions, etc.- Bump avoidance it pretty good as long as objects are high enough for the Lidar Sensor to see it.- No issues transitioning between carpet and hardwood/tile surfaces.- Although it may not take the most efficient paths on occasion, and sometimes re-cleans a section(s) 2-3 times during it’s total run,it does appear to do a very through clean, cleaning all the places that it possibly can reach.- It does well respecting No-Go Zones.- Ledge detection works well also, but the fall-off is only detected after about 25% of the bot is hanging over the edge – depending on it’s speed. It can be nerve wracking to watch near stairs!!- The Evacuate and Resume feature is nice to have. (After every 30 mins of cleaning, it will return to the Dock to empty its dust bin thenreturn to clean where it left off.- The Do Not Disturb Schedule works well.- The No-Go Zones work well.- Although I have not had a need for it as of yet, I’m confident the Recharge and Resume feature will work fine.FYI:- Initial WiFi Setup: I did have an issue trying to pair the Bot with my phone. I think after I rebooted my phone it finally worked.- Annoying – if you remove the Bot’s dust bin while it’s ON, it will complain stating it’s dust bin needs to be replaced.- The foam roll filter in the Docking station gets VERY dirty real fast and needs to be cleaned every 2-3 runs. It’s easy to clean, just tap over a garbage can to get the bulk off, then slide off the foam roll from it’s base and rinse in a sink.Let dry completely before returning to docking station.- The Evacuation system will engage EVERY TIME you return the Bot to the dock. So if you pull the Bot off just to check the roller, as soon as youre-dock it, the evacuation system will turn on.- The Evacuation system is as loud as a typical upright vacuum, so keep that in mind when deciding on a location for it!!!- I have not tried the SCHEDULED Cleaning at all. I personally prefer to manually initiate when/where I want it to clean.CONS:- I was not able to Register the Bot via the app – kept saying “Something went wrong”. Had to do it online.- The app could use some improvements/updating, like showing the current location of the BOT and what it’s cleaned so far as it’s running, estimated time of completion, etc.- Deleting your map when you want to do a “Re-explore” (ie: Re-Map) can take a minute or two to complete.- “Matrix” cleaning can only be performed on one room at a time. So if you have 3 kids bedrooms you want to Matrix clean you have to select one,do the cleaning, then send it out again to do the Matrix cleaning on the 2nd bedroom, etc.You might be able to work around this by setting up 3 Scheduled cleanings(??), one for each room.- The Mapping system could be MUCH better. I can understand it not mapping a shoe on the floor, but missing an entire 10-FOOT WALL SECTION???Would be nice to have Multi-Floor/Level mapping also.- I’ve run into an occasional issue where after doing a manual cleaning (via press of the CLEAN button) on the 1st floor (not mapped),then using the app to vac a specific room on the 2nd floor (mapped), it will clean the room, but then starts re-cleaning the last 3-foot sectionover-and-over until I manually stop it. Others also have reported odd issues jumping between “Mapped” cleaning and “non-Mapped” cleaning areas. The fix for me was to delete my map and have the bot do a re-explore to build it again (and hope it does it correctly on the 1st pass). If this issue continues, I’m toying with the idea of not doing any mapping at all and just letting the Bot figure it out as it goes regardless of the floor it’s on.I’ll loose the No-Go Zones and Specific Room Clean functions and it will likely take longer to run,but it might be worth it until the Mapping Logic is improved.CUSTOMER SUPPORT:==============================I did reach out to them when I had the “re-cleaning the same 3-foot section” issue after bouncing between a Mapped and Un-Mapped floor. This was during Black Friday weekend, and I only waited 5-10 minutes to speak with someone. They were OK, some easier to understand than others.I was eventually connected with one of their Technical Support staff and had to re-explain the issue. He asked if I could run the cleaning sessionagain (I was fine with that) and he wanted to video record the Bot in action, so he sent me a link for the video connection. I was unable to getthat working (Android phone issue??). He asked me to re-explain the issue to him again, and we got into a brief disagreement about how the MATRIX CLEANfunction worked – he claimed that was only for “Spot cleaning”, which I told him was NOT true.He finally suggested I delete my floor map and re-run another mapping session then try to replicate the problem again.I was assigned a Ticket# to reference when I called them back with my findings. After re-doing the mapping, I haven’t been able to replicate the problem yet, and I’m leaning towards assuming the Bot works best with Mapped areas only, and jumping between Mapped/Non-Mapped floors is not 100% supported (???)
  • Listen, hold your breath….can you hear the thundering silence of me not having to vacuum?
Where to start? With the bad, let us get that right out of the way. The mapping is abysmal, truly, we have run Bruce (if you can name a Shark branded robot vacuum, what other name than Bruce would you choose) 25 times, he is nowhere near mapping our house, compared to my brothers robot from a competitor who rhymes with BOOMBA, which did it in three runs. This Shark does not even play the same sport….this prevents me from doing room specific vacuuming. And that is it. Unless you have a multi story house, where this feature is a must have, set Bruce and he will clean you house. Wonderfully. Next, the not so great, Bruce is so mentally challenged. For a smart device, he is pretty dumb, but you want to know something, Bruce is determined. He will get the job done. He may have to fumble and bumble his way about, but he will get it done, and, if you watch, he does get a little smarter each time, just a little, but it is noticeable. Bruce used to do the house in large, long swaths, now he breaks it into one half of the house, then the other, and just the today, a new feature, he went around the perimeter of the house, cleaning the base boards. Small steps. As for his vacuum, top notch, perhaps too good. Bit of advice, if you get your own Bruce, run the beast on low suction for at least the first 4 or 5 runs….another con, Bruce does not know when he has eaten too much, and like a greedy guppy, he dies…locks up and cries for help… remember, I told you Bruce is not bright, but he is a work horse. When this happens, you cannot tell Bruce to restart, he has to start over, and hopefully one of Bruce’s engineers will fix this, since Bruce will never know how much he has consumed, he has not the ability. Perhaps a command to send him to his base to empty himself, or a shorter duration than the 30 or so minutes it defaults to.Oh, and the base, the self empty….I am sure robot vacuums before the base were fine, if tedious, since you had to clean them every time….but the base, oh the base is pure genius. Bruce’s base is perfect, we take up with a button, and open it with a button, and never have to touch the refuse. No bag to buy, just push a button, the bottom opens and all that stuff drops out.If you have not noticed, but this family loves Bruce, we are now looking at getting Bruce a skin, to spruce Bruce up a bit…We have had Bruce for a week now, barely, but already Bruce has made an impact. I absolute honesty I cannot recommend this product enough, it works, it has quirks, but it works, and very well.Bit of adviceTurn on all your lights until your Bruce gets a good map of the area, he is a camera based robot and needs to “see” the ceiling, mostly, for landmarks.Run it on low the first few tries, while Bruce bounces around the first few runs, then move to medium and so on. Remember, Bruce has no sesnor in his bin, he uses a set algorithm that tells him to go back to his base and dump his load. It is terrible. But his vacuum is great, so he gets too full too fast. I can manage it a little for the quality of his cleanup.Because our house is neither toddler nor robot ready, we did not have all our rooms ready, and so we began mapping with the bedrooms and bathrooms doors closed. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, the mapping is not great, but it does move forward, slowly. Bruce stared being more efficient in our great rooms’ right about the time we added the bedrooms and bathrooms. Our house, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 great rooms and a heart kitchen, Bruce can do it on one charge now, I think because we basically added one room a day after his initial runs.I think you can tell, Bruce has been a wonderful addition to our home, truly, a robot vacuum was a luxury I didn’t think worked. It works and now I know what gift I will give every new home owner I know. There a lot of options out there, some a lot cheaper, and if those meet your needs, get them, some a lot more expensive, and aside from one specific feature Bruce does not have,( multi floor mapping) I cannot imagine they are better.UPDATED 2/19/20Mapping works now, had to delete the map once , run it three times, and bang! house mapped. Room specific vacuuming unlocked! Suggestions to others having issues. Delete the map and ( and I think this part is important) run the vac with every light you can on. The robot “see” and makes its map on your ceiling, the more light, the better it see’s.To reiterate, my little robot, Bruce, has literally changed my house…cannot recommend enough.Updated 2/5/21A year later and no regrets. One of, if not, the best purchases I have made for my home. I will state again Bruce is an addition to the house and family, he is almost a pet….a very dumb, but very hard working pet….he is like a toddler…he seems to always want to be where you are… He cleans your floors and carpets…If you are on the fence about buying a robot vacuum…let me put you at ease…buy one, this is no longer a luxury to my home, they are a requirement, utterly worth every penny. As for a Shark…I love mine. Works great, does what it is supposed to do. The only house I wouldn’t think this is perfect for is multi floor homes. Short of that… a must have.4/28/23 Still the best purchase we have made for our home cleaning. No change there…but a small observation…recently replaced some furniture and changed the layout of our home. We had to move the dock from a north to south orientation to an east to west…and, I swear, it now navigates even better than before.

  • Impressive.
I used this on my glass-top stove and it worked great. I’ve used brillo (gently), I’ve used 409, I’ve used Krud Kutter and a bunch of other products. They take forever and it’s grimy work. You usually end up with a less-bad mess, but never fully clean. This thing is wizardry. You blast a small area about the size of a playing card, wipe it clean – might have to do it twice.. Move on. So, it takes a while, but when it’s done, it’s DONE. That ancient yellow waxy oil film melts right off. I got my whole stovetop and control panel clean like brand new. (there is some tough grunge on the burners, I might have to use acetone and a razor blade). But the whole thing overall looks factory-fresh. I’m very impressed. My advice is to use an old cotton towel, and keep using clean spots on the towel to wipe, that grease in the towel will just keep smearing if you don’t keep using a fresh patch of towel. Then throw the towel away, you don’t want that in your washer. They also say you need distilled water, I’d follow that advice, or you’ll probably clog the tiny jet with minerals pretty quick. This thing will use about 6 oz of water in about 10 minutes of cleaning. Hard water will ruin it.
  • Great so far and good value for money
Spent four hours testing this product all around the kitchen. It’s been great so farfor a standard sized kitchen whose walls and shelving were never scrubbed in at least 11 months, the grime and stains came off easy.microwave and oven cleaning was easy. The stains just dropped off after a few secondsI am not sure if there is a switch to keep the steam going without manually using the thumb but that would have been a great option. So far this has been good value for my money and I am excited to make it part of my cleaning schedule.
  • Not meant for every cleaning job or heavy-duty jobs but good for certain tasks
The media could not be loaded. Don’t expect the steamshot to be the workhorse to clean EVERYTHING in your home is my disclaimer. In my opinion, it works best for small jobs around the house since it’s quite heavy to hold in your hold and to keep the trigger consistently pushed to release the steam. Here’s what I tried it on, starting with the good first:Good: – Toilet: Finally I can blast through the small gaps where the seat hinges are. I have peace of mind that are is sanitized thoroughly. I use it BEHIND the toilet where it’s hard to reach too. The extra long hose attachment came in handy for that. Use on exterior of toilet only. Also great for that bottom area where the toilet meets the floor.- Bathroom and Kitchen sinks: Again, I like how the steam can blast through the knob gaps and hinges, behind the faucets. Since you’re already in the sink, the water drips back into the sinks. – Pet bed: When I just want to refresh it and don’t have to stick the whole thing into the washing machine. You can also steam clean delicate sweaters too! There is a cloth attachment so you’re not touching the nozzle right onto clothes. Just Okay/Bad:- Shower: The grout attachment was NOT made to get into corners or 90 degree angles unfortunately. The bristles are just too short and it doesn’t reach the edge of the attachment. That said, it’s designed for grout that’s on a flat surface. I used the round bristle to scrape off some gunk from the bottom of the shower doors – did an ok job, i still need to go in with a small toothbrush to really get it all cleaned. I was hoping the steam could blast through the very bottom of the shower doors where there is probably gross build-up from sitting water but i didn’t see any more gunk rinse off – I’m sure it sanitized the area though. I did not use it on the glass shower door since the machine is corded, it was difficult for me to get inside the shower, then close the door in order to use it (I need to close the door to get to water grime build up on the inside of the door). – Stove top knob area where there is grease build-up. Just no. Because this is the knob area, the water dripped onto my floor and on the rest of the stove, the oven door and it didn’t even remove it all. In my head, I imagined all the grease just melting away, lol. Use a degreaser instead. There were still little bits of clumped up grease I have to scrape off but I ended up scraping off some my knob writing! Knob area was still gunky looking. Just use a degreaser and it got it all shiny again! I was not about to use it on my actual stove area where the burners are as that is a heavy-duty job and you will need to wipe away all the grease/bits of burnt food anyway. I do like the mini scraper tool which would be good on the something like the oven door, not for detailed work like the knob area.Since the steamer isn’t claiming to do every household job or even heavy-duty jobs, I’d rate this a 4. It does claim to tackle oven grime but it does on okay job.
  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Works Amazing for a First-Time Steam Cleaner User!
I’ve never used a steam cleaner before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this Bissell made the whole process incredibly easy. The setup took just a minute, and the instructions were super clear. Once it heated up, the steam power was impressive—it pulled up dirt I didn’t even realize was on my floors! It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and the water tank lasts a good amount of time. I loved that it cleaned and sanitized without any strong chemical smells. My floors looked noticeably cleaner after just one pass. For a first-time user, this was a great experience. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This Bissell makes steam cleaning simple and effective. Highly recommend!
  • Tiny but strong
Took some getting used to, at first I thought it didn’t work but it turned out I just wasn’t pushing the lever down enough, it was plastic so I was worried of breaking it but it turned out just fine. The versatility is outstanding and truly useful, I steam cleaned my windows and removed glued on my tile in the bathroom with the scraper and window attachment. There’s no smell coming off of it except the smell of boiled water, and read the instructions you must use DISTILLED WATER ONLY, you can buy a whole gallon of that at any pharmacy or Walmart for a dollar or a couple cents more or less. And if you don’t want to purchase distilled water all the time (trust me it will last you like 3 months with this machine alone, using with a Cpap perhaps a month and a half) then you can buy a distiller, which they sell here on Amazon starting at around 90$ for permanent access to virtually free distilled water.Removed the stains around my doors and baseboards in seconds, same with the grime on my windows. Be careful with the splash back, it does spit it out rather aggressively without the cloth on, so watch out if you’re near any plugged in devices or outlets.Pressure seems perfect strength for getting grime off, just be mindful there will be a mess of water.1 full tank lasted me 2.5 hours in my home cleaning the things I mentioned.

  • Definitely well worth it and I am happy!
There’s so many products out there you know I have an issue of analyzing every single thing when I’m looking for something it takes more time and then I just give up so when I just chose this one, I looked at like three other ones I picked it. I got it today. I got to use it. I love it. It’s simple. It’s easy. The only thing I’m not too happy about is that when you put it on the charger button forward I don’t know if I’m missing something. I did not get a chance to read the book because I had a lot of going on, but it’s nice because the cats that use the cat box Corrugated stuff and they get that over a man just pull it out clean it up. It’s so nice feather cat food bowl. It’s an automatic bowl damn pull it out get those crumbs right there by their bowls cause they’re a little messy cat eaters. Have a nice cat box and has a little grid thing for the step down and then a match and I can use it to clean that that’s what I like. I love it. Oh and it is fast very portable. Very light. The attachments are cool because they’re right there they can’t get lost. I know I only used it once and I just got it today but I was so excited and I didn’t want to put this on there. Otherwise I will get lost in the mix of putting my reviews in so thank you definitely worth getting if any of those things are areas you might need help with I don’t have children anymore they’re grown so I don’t have to worry about those craws but you know sometimes you might spill some sugar or some coffee. Just pick it up. Done nice
  • Powerful 🙂
I really like this vacuum. It is very powerful. It does a much better job at sucking up debris than expected! The charger design that allows the vacuum to stand upright is very nice. The only reason I took away a star is because the vacuum is hard to empty due to the narrow opening. It’s annoying that I have to cram my hand into the opening to pull out all the dirty stuff I vacuumed up. Other, I really like it and recommend.
  • Great Tool!!
Wish it was a wall mount but the charging stand is ok. It charges fast and the power is awesome. I really like the way the crevice tool is a part of the nose of the vac. The brush is also attached and works wonderful! Easy to empty as well!I had a B&D vac for 12 years and it just started losing power too quick so got this new one and I love it!I still use the old one to clean up kitty litter spills.

  • Out of box and first time use impression: Excellent!
Okay, so here’s the deal. We have a dog. And if you have a dog, you need a carpet cleaner or you like it or not are living with filthy carpets. So we have a RugDoctor that we use ever few months and it works great. But it’s huge. And heavy. And getting it out and setting it up to do a small section of carpet is really a pain in the rear.I figured a little spot cleaner would be a good investment. So I bought a Bissell. It broke after three uses. And I bought a new improved one, the little green one you see all over the place. The hose leaked. And I mean LEAKED. Their customer service was AWFUL, so I got rid of it.I wanted a pro-grade spot cleaner. I’m willing to pay 2 or even 3X what the cheap models cost if it works better and lasts longer. The rug doctor one is also huge and had middling reviews, so I looked at the Shark model. We have a Shark vacuum at Church and I actually think the design is extremely clever and it works well. So why not try the Shark spot cleaner?I was suspicious: at $99 in Amazon Prime Day it must be a piece of crap, right? Not so. First off, this thing is SMALL. Much smaller than the competitors, and it is SQUARE and a huge oblong thing. Maybe 14″ by 14″ by 14″. This means it can be stored almost anywhere without issue. The Bissells I owned were horribly noisy, and the shrill / shrieking tone of the vacuum really made it unpleasant to use. This one is loud as well, but it is NOT AT ALL shrieky or shrill, so using it is not fatiguing to the ears. I love that about it.But does it work? We had some stains from our dog where she likes to lie watching the activities in the kitchen without having to lie on the cold tile in the kitchen. So that area is particularly dirty. So is the area next to the couch which she frequents. I filled the water tank to the line with hot tap water and then filled it with the cleaning solution to the next line (you use next to none of it). Then you put the Oxy accelerator in the other tank. And off you go.Here is what awaits you: It is small and lightweight, so you can easily take it around the house. Living room, bedroom, family room, no fuss and no bother getting it around the house. Reasonably long cord (probably 10 feet?) makes it pretty easy to get to various areas without having to unplug / replug.Operation can’t be easier. Press the TOP MOUNTED (thank you designers!) power button and the vacuum fires up. Not quiet, but like I said, not obnoxious. You put on any one of FOUR different heads. A super small one is permanently attached for maybe dime size stains. Then there is a small one, maybe 3″ across, then another one that has a weird reservoirs that I have no idea what it is used for, and then a large one maybe 6″ across. The small one was great… You pull the trigger and extract the solution, and the built in brush which is removable allows you to ensure the solution gets into the pile. The clear head allows you to see the extraction that is happening, which I’m sure is more for show than anything else, but I did find it useful to make sure I’d gotten all the solution sucked up. So spray, brush, extract, spray, brush, extract, and… BOOM. Stains are gone. And I mean GONE!I used this in three rooms. All the stains (and some were nasty) are all gone save for one in the bedroom that is less of a stain and more of some sticky substance probably from the garden. It did an admirable job but I will likely have to use solvent to get rid of it all.The proof comes when you empty the waste tank, which admittedly is pretty small. You know it is time to empty it when the pitch of the vacuum changes, basically it closes a float valve to ensure you don’t start spraying your surroundings with the dirt you sucked up through the vacuum exhaust. Definitely not something you want.So I took the device into the bathroom, lifted the waste tank out of the device (you just pull up on the handle) and then to remove the valve / feeder assembly, you push that same handle in the opposite direction and the whole top (which is actually the bottom) comes off. And when you dump the waste water into the toilet, don’t be surprised when the toilet water turns a disgusting dark brown. Here’s the thing: We vacuum regularly and we had our carpets cleaned maybe 6 weeks ago, and this water was filthy! How that much dirt came out of our carpets is pretty amazing.SO… in summary, this is a small and compact and very effective cleaner that is easy to store, easy to use and is not as loud or irritating as other machines. If this thing holds up (I did buy the three year extended warranty for an extra $10… figured it was worth it given the poor showing of the Bissell machines) so I would be delighted if my $10 proves to be a waste of money. If you read the internet, you’ll see this is a top pick with a lot of reviewers. I can see why. It certainly is designed intelligently and appears to work great. If it lasts for several years, then I will have made a fine decision, and perhaps more important to the manufacturer, I will have become a satisfied customer who knows they can trust the brand to deliver true value to me as a customer.
  • Fantastic Carpet Cleaning Appliance for Small Jobs
This thing is the bomb. I had one of its competitors’ products a few years ago and it was OK, but I needed a new carpet cleaner for my carpeted stairway (the only carpet I have in my house), and I already have a Shark vacuum and a Shark stick vacuum that I love, so I thought I’d give this a whirl even though it’s a bit more expensive than some of the others. It didn’t disappoint. Shark’s come a long way in the reliability and finesse of its products from the first leaky iron I bought 20 years ago, and they’re now among the best out there. This thing is perfect for cleaning stairs. All I can say is I’m really impressed. It’s actually a lot quieter than I expected, super light weight with a convenient handle, both the cord and the hose store easily on the device (the hose nozzle even has a notch to attach to the unit’s body). It came with both the base cleaning solution and an oxidizing booster solution, both of which have dedicated tanks (the solution tank must be filled with water and topped off with cleaning solution). Also comes with three brushes – a small one integrated into the hose for crevices, a 3″ hand tool, a 7″ hand tool (which is the one I used), and a “pet waste” tool with a small tank on it which I did not have to use, thankfully, LOL. Has a solid spray and cleans super well, and I was surprised with how much dark gray solution it extracted out of my stairway carpet. The hand tools have integrated brushes and it was quite easy to maneuver around and carry.Filling and emptying the three tanks (Water + cleaner, oxidizer and extracted waste tank) was super easy and all three just pull off of the unit. The waste and cleaning solution tanks have their own handles. I immediately bought a couple of bottles of replacement solution for future use.I also liked how they packaged it – they used recycled cardboard inserts and no styrofoam.Only two small things I think could be improved: The included power cord is fairly short, so if you want to clean something like a stairwell, you’ll need a three-prong extension cord in all likelihood to reach your outlet. The cord could be longer. Also – the included cleaner bottle (Deep Clean Pro) was quite small, and might be good for maybe three tanks of water – and the Oxy Multiplier solution, which you’ll use far less of, was much larger, which I thought was strange. It should be the reverse. The replacement units I bought of both were much larger. Small gripes, though. All in all, this thing is well executed and a great value and I’m really happy with it.
  • Mega Machine up for the challenge!
Worked first time out. I am impressed by this little guy honestly! The instructions are pretty straight forward, just make sure you are filing the right tank up with solution. I messed up and was going to put the diluted shampoo into the extraction tank because I wasn’t paying attention to exact wording in the instructions. But once I got it all set up I had several spots around the house from owning 2 indoor dogs. I tackled the big job first, my dog puked the night before and wasn’t feeling well. So I had a couple spots from that and as in the pictures you can see that it all came up. Now full disclosure I did spray the area with a name brand stain remover and let it set before using this spot vacuum. But it all came up and I was impressed with how much ‘dirt’ and debris came up. The suction on this thing is great for my purposes and I did not have any water leaks. The spray is wide so it covers great on small areas (which this is intended for). I did use warm water in the water tank with the solution but nothing I would consider HOT at all. There is no heater on this unit. For the money I think this is a great value, I love the self cleaning feature, makes clean up a snap. Just empty the debris tank and rinse out then your ready for the next go. I did get mine on sale for about a Benjamin so look for sales. I will be keeping this unit and using it from time to time on doggy issues around the house. I have a carpet machine for any real big issues or just to spring clean the carpets already.

  • Get. This. Vacuum.
I am disgusted. I never do reviews but I simply had to for this one.Day one review (will come back and edit if needed):Get. This. Vacuum. Especially if you have cats.I set it up without directions in about 2 minutes (that’s impressive for me). Immediately went to my bedroom to see what this thing could do. I only have carpet in the bedroom so I have just had a nice cordless vacuum since I’ve lived here. It does the job…..or so I thought.I vacuumed a 3’x3’ section of my room before this thing was FULL. I have 3 cats and I had absolutely no idea that my cordless piece of JUNK apparently does not pick up any hair from the carpet. I was distraught at the site of a full canister after such a small section (granted the section I did is where the cats do most of their rolling around). I emptied the canister THREEE TIMES vacuuming the entire space. This thing sucks in the best way possible.Get the vacuum. See how gross you are like me. Cry about it. Be glad you got the vacuum.Obviously can’t speak for longevity but if something goes wrong I’ll come back and update.
  • Just buy it even if you get to use that new one it’ll do the job
I bought the used one like new. It’s got great suction to it so you can only imagine what a new one would do. I bought it because I live in a studio apartment with vented heat so I can vacuum out the vents because I have a dog that sheds and for safety reasons you always wanna vacuum out your vents and you’re hitting sources when you have a pet specially for winter time. And it does a fantastic job. I’m glad I bought it not the original one that I wanted which was off of Walmart and purple. But this year is a perfect size and it’s got great suction and I would say if you’re hesitant to buy it just buy it. The color doesn’t matter because as long as it does, the job that you need to do? That’s all that matters and mine doesAnd believe it or not, my dog isn’t even scared of it. He hasn’t barked once at it and I’ve used it twice. I use the slipper sweeper to get the dog hairs out and then I shook off the swiffer sweeper. And then I use the vacuum over the dirt in the hair that came off of the padding from the swiffer sweeper. It’s perfect even for Pet Hairs: and I have linoleum floors
  • You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for but that doesn’t necessarily mean bad, it has its pros and cons. I spent twice as much on my last, other name brand vacuum so I wasn’t sure if I’d love this one. I actually didn’t even think about the “compact” part but it’s not that much smaller than my last vacuum. It is very lightweight and easy on stairs. I like that you turn it on with a foot switch. One thing I noticed is that putting the right floor levels makes a big difference. I had it on the low pile carpet and it was pushing everything around so I switched it to high pile and it worked better, however, there were things just like lint or cat litter I had to go over twice or thrice, I don’t like that. It’s also not great at edges but better going sideways along them rather than from the front. It is also very loud, even for a vacuum. It works much better than my last on hard floors and the “scatter proof” is pretty good but again, only when on the hard floors setting. I also like the canister design and it’s easy to empty. Overall, I liked my last one better but I only have an 1100 square foot condo so I’ll make do and not be overly upset if it only lasts a few years for the price.
  • Could not believe my eyes
I live in a condo with two rooms, I usually use my cordless vacuum. No issues… loved it, but I wanted to get maybe a deeper clean… well lemme tell you I’m disgusted, I couldn’t believe how much my cordless did nothing!! This vacuum is great and small and you can tell REALLY picks stuff up. It kinda is a little loud not crazy… (just use to my cordless) but it’s compact and gets the job done. For the price you can’t beat it…. If you have a small house and just need a room or two this is your vacuum.
  • Powerful, Versatile, and Lightweight
After many years of faithful service, my old upright vacuum was forced into retirement. After a LOT of clicking around, reading reviews, and watching videos, I decided to give the Bissell CleanView Compact Turbo a try. It was very easy to set up right out of the box, and it really impressed me during the first trial run. (And continues to impress five months later as I’m writing this.) It’s definitely lightweight and easy to handle, but has powerful suction, and it REALLY picks up the dust and pet hair from my medium height carpeting and the kitchen floor.I’m especially impressed with all the attachments for the price point, and I love that the handle can be pulled out and used as an extension wand with any of the attachments for more cleaning versatility. It’s great for the sofa cushions, stairs, and for my dog’s favorite napping spot under an end table where an upright vacuum just can’t reach. I like the foot control for the on-off switch although it’s is a little bit on the small side – but hey, it’s a small vacuum.I probably wouldn’t recommend it as the main vacuum cleaner for a large home just because of its size, but for an apartment or smaller place, it would be a great option. It’s absolutely perfect for my small house.
  • Favorite vacuum of my life!!
I absolutely LOVE this vacuum. My roommates and I all have allergies and this vacuum has saved our sinuses. We have bought special pet vacuums as we have 2 cats and 1 dog so there is a lot of hair, kibble, and litter that gets on the floor on the daily. Each time they do not meet standards. This vacuum though…impresses me EVERY day. It is small, but oh boy is it mighty. I appreciate the suck tube extender to get in between crevices (like between the fridge and cabinets) and the skinny attachment for where the baseboards and carpet meet, and the attachment with bristles to vacuum the cat tree. Everyday I am disgusted with the amount of hair that accumulates but so very impressed with this vacuum.Since it is small it is very easy to maneuver and to pick up for putting it back into the closet.

What Customers Say:

  • Great Cleaning and Vacuuming power from the Bissel Stick Vac
I will say out right this little Bissel Stick Vac does and excellent job in cleaning and is much more vacuuming pick up power than I had figured on. The first day I used my Bissel Stick Vac it performed very well out of the box. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, with a small living room and a kitchen with linoleum floor. It is an older-building constructed back in 1965 according property tax records. So the outside structure is failing apart. I live on the top floor of this 2 floor apartment complex with 19 units in total. The apartments are not enclosed so the upper concrete walk way has railings and covered by protective awnings but open air design still exposure to wind, rain, sunlight and other elements.Anyways the amount of dust and dirt the Bissel Vac picked up was amazing. The filter was literally caked with dust and dirty like a dirty snowball or Cotton Candy you find at a carnival vendor. Believe me I keep my apartment clean as a matter of principle, so I mop and clean on a daily basis so things do not accumulate. I could dust more but this unit I live in does NOT have central A/C or Heating. This apartment is cooled and heated by mounted wall units. The A/C unit is permanently mount half way from the inner wall to the outside ear my front door. It is an older model and NOT very energy efficient by todays standard. However it is closed end unit, meaning it only circulates air that is drawn from within the apartment itself and NOT in-taking Air directly from the outside of the apartment. The outside portion of the Wall A/C is mainly to house the compressor and cooling mechanism units where the refrigeration gases are stored. As well as provide for heat exhaust and exchange for the mechanism itself when in operation. (Sorry do not mean to get off the subject but I just wanted to give potential buyers for the Bissel Stick Vac an idea of the real world environment this product is performing in).The Bissel’s motor and housing assembly also contain the detachable canister where the debris is collected, until the receptacle is cleaned out. The unit is light weight, so it is easy to maneuver in tight areas and is perfect for carpeted or hard floor steps. The Bissel also detaches and as 1 extra attachment a long straight non-flexible nozzle which is great for cleaning the edges of floorboards or hard to reach areas or tight corners that a normal vacuum may not reach. As far as cleaning under couch furniture cushions and around the bed areas where dust and dirt tends to collect around the post or caster feet of the frames or Chest of drawers it does a smash up job in quickly cleaning those hard to reach areas. However the straight non-flexible attachment is NOT very long just maybe 1 foot in length so you will not be able to reach areas that are more than an adults arm length to reach.I have lived nearly 2 years in this current apartment, and the edges of my matted carpet and floorboards have never been cleaner than after using the Bissel Stick Vac. The roommate I had before this was lazy and did not vacuum him self a all. So I inherited a rather dirty apartment by my standards , when he moved out earlier last year. I just hope I do not find any other “hidden” damage in the unit that he is responsible for before I moved in.To get to the point here my summary of the Bissel Stick Vac model 2033.PROS1. Very good value for the money2. For a small stick Vac it has incredible cleaning power, it truly picked up much of the dirt, dust that is ground into this carpet. (Obviously this carpet has not been shampooed in quite some time by the previous tenantswhich means not in the last 5-7 years give the tenant history of this unit.)3. Very Light weight unit, easy to use and get into tight or difficult areas where you may not be able to moveheavier furniture by yourself. (So it is perfect gift for perhaps older or senior or people with health issues whocan not use a heavier vacuum. As well as College Students who are always on the go or committed to theirstudies and have little time to spare. since it makes cleaning easier and will give students an incentive to NOTneglect their living areas and take 10- 15 mins just to tidy up on a daily basis.)4. This is my personal favorite feature. NO infamous rubber drive belt to worry about. Those Serpentinian drivebelts, which are on traditionally Upright vacuum rollers. Which if you have ever had to change a drive belt outit can be a messy and unpleasant chore; as well as expensive. Since many vacuum drive belts can be expensiveas well as difficult to find if the unit is older or the model has been discontinued.5. Easy storage , as the Bissel Stick Vac has a standard power cord which will roll up on the bracket handles andstore away easily in a coat closet which may many large heavy coats that make reaching into the back of thecloset difficult. It takes up very little space when you need to store it while not in use!6. Easy clean up and maintenance! The dirt container easily detaches from the mounting clips so you may access the small HEPA filter and dump all the Dirt ad Debris into the garbage. The unit is also good for picking smaller objects like paper clips or push pins or even small coins in the event you accidently knock over some from your office desk and do not want to throw the items away and they may have spilled all over the place. Since the Debris the vacuum picks up does not pass through the motor itself and NO moving parts like rollers near the vacuums nozzel so the will not jam and cause the motor to overheat or cause a short circuit because the motor has seized which is a definite fire hazard! The Dirty canister is placed in before the motor assembly and has a solid filter so no small debris like nuts, bolts, small screws or paperclips can enter into the vacuum’s motor housing itself.CONS1). The dirt collection container ahs a small capacity so if you use it as the “main” vacuum cleaning tool, then you will need clean it out thoroughly depending on how dirty the floor is or what you are vacuuming up. As a general of thumb this vacuum is best suited for smaller apartments that have no more than 2-3 rooms with a matted or shallow carpet. I would NOT recommend this vacuum for high pyled, shag or very high-end expensive carpets. NOR would I recommend this vacuum as the main tool for houses with more than 3 rooms. Though it does a excellent job for small chores or detail work around difficult tight corners or heavier furniture;. You will want a more traditional vacuum with a 30 AMP motor or better if you live in a large home or have a carpet or floor that is notoriously harder to vacuum.2) The floor nozzle assembly does NOT have any special in-take or moving bristles to collect suborn dirty, dustor debris, which ironically lends itself to the light weight of the Bissel Stick Vac which allows the user tomaneuver the floor nozzle so the in-take can vacuum the dirt and debris up. You can also detach the unit fromthe handle and use it like a hand held dust buster like vacuum and use the nozzle attachment to get to thefloorboard edges and tight corners So if you are vacuuming in a flat straight line you will need to on an opencarpet or floor you will need to use a technique that will cover the smaller width of the active cleaning area ofthe floor nozzle when you do use the unit as it will NOT vacuum wide swaths of carpet or floor when thevacuum is in use. Which makes it a bit safer to use around plugged in power cords ad power strip-surgeprotectors in a home or small office settings. The power cords will not be entangled in power rollers whichcould cause severe damage to the vacuum the office equipment and a strong possibility of electrocution to theoperator.+++++++++++++++++++++ Summary of the Bissel Stick Vac Model 2033 ******************************I would recommend buying this product for small chores or if you live in building with a simple floor plan with no more than 3 bedrooms or does NOT have a plush, or expensive carpets like a real Perishing rug! That would be insane! That would be like using an SOS steel wool pad on a Rembrandt or Vincent Van Gogh painting! Which would be INSANE! It is a great cleaning tool for the money and an excellent value for the price I paid!
  • I will never sweep the floor again.
I just love this little vacuum. I got it in the blue color. I recently moved across the country and I had a similar vacuum to this one which I had for many years but I was moving and trying to minimalize the amount of stuff I was bringing and I decided since I won’t have any sort of rugs I won’t need it anymore. OK well fast forward and I discovered that was a pretty dumb decision on my part. I live in Arizona now. I have Travertine floors. If you don’t know what they are they’re natural stone tiles and the crevices get stuff stuck in them all the time. I have a cat who is a slob with the litterbox and a husband who doesn’t seem to know how to pick up stuff he drops on the floor. I purposely looked for a vacuum that was good for hard floors and this fits the bill. It’s amazing how much litter and dust it picks up and here, no matter whether you wear shoes inside the house or not you get dust. The vacuum doesn’t pick up larger pieces but it’s great for my needs. It’s all electric. I don’t have any rugs here so I have no idea how it would work on them. The cord is pretty long. What I don’t understand is it comes with a crevice attachment but nowhere is there on the body of the machine to store the attachment. Not that this really matters to me that much but my old one did have a spot for it. I rarely used it and just threw it in the closet then and I’ll probably do the same now. I like the fact that the filter can easily be removed and shaken out. I’m very happy with this item.
  • Great but not perfect
This vacuum is great for laminate or hard floors and I love being able to carry it outside to vacuum out the car with ease. As others have stated it does have short battery life and it’s pretty noisy and not great on actual carpet but great for thin rugs on those in between real vacuuming days, does not replace a real vacuum by any means for carpet but again great for the in between and feels much cleaner than a broom. Also great for sucking up wasps and spiders! My only issue just a few months in is with the main head attachment, since everything is all plastic after it heats up from use on level 3 for just a few minutes it has melted and fused to itself preventing it from spinning and is no longer functional. So now I need to find a replacement head since that’s the main attachment used and unfortunately back to using a broom in the meantime.
  • Works great on hard flat rugs and hardwood
This is not for a carpeted house but I love it for my hardwood and low pile area rugs. It’s SO light and easy to use.Its basically a corded hand vac with a removable stick handle and flat floor attachment (no brush roller just tiny plastic ones), which I actually love because you can fully take it apart and wash it inside! No more gross dog smell after a few uses, just take it apart and you can wash the filter, chamber, and floor attachment with soap and water. It will stand up by itself, carefully placed. My only complaint is that the cord is SO short; I just leave an extension plugged in and wrapped up with it now. It’s more powerful than a battery hand vac for sure.

  • Excellent alternative to name brand
I’ve had my Miele vacuum for several years and this is the first time I used a generic vacuum bag. It’s much cheaper so I thought I would try it. Very happy with it. I don’t notice any differences between the two. Would buy again and avoid the high price for name brand.
  • Reliable dust bags that keep my vacuum running strong
I have been using Miele vacuums for years and these AirClean 3D Efficiency dust bags are the only ones I trust. They fit perfectly in my Miele canister and install without any fuss. The material feels thick and durable, so I do not worry about them tearing or leaking dust. I noticed that the suction on my vacuum stays consistent until the bag is nearly full, which shows how well they are designed. The 3D efficiency design really does allow the bag to hold a lot more than I expected. I also appreciate that this pack comes with two filters, since it makes it easier to keep the vacuum running at its best. Changing the bag is simple and clean, with no mess when removing a full one. I use mine mostly for pet hair and general household cleaning, and the bags trap everything with no dust escaping. It feels good knowing that the air in my home stays cleaner while vacuuming. The value is fair considering how long each bag lasts, even in a busy household. I recommend these to anyone with a Miele vacuum, as they really do make a difference in performance. They let me vacuum quickly and efficiently, without me having to worry about any mess!

  • Perfect fit, fast service
Exactly what I needed and delivered quickly. Good job!
  • Miele bags

  • Perhaps pack this item in a box instead.
The item purchased was fine, but they were packed in a bag instead of a box, causing the vacuum bag boxes to be smashed.
  • Good purchase
These work as you would expect for namebrand.

  • Great cordless vacuum!
Nothing like a great vacuum to make your day! I purchased the Dyson V9 to replace an older Dyson cordless model that I have had for about 10 years (which still is a pretty good machine except the roller brush no longer turns). Last year, I bought a cheap cordless vacuum that had many issues and after writing a negative review, the company replaced it for free with an upgraded version. Still no comparison, and the new vacuum has now stopped working completely. The fully charged battery lasts 30 minutes. The suction is great. The upholstery attachment works great on my furniture. Lesson learned! Spend a little more for the quality machine!
  • Worth the money!
    Works great!
  • Powerful and lightweight
Coming from an older D8 animal, I was worried that this model was going to be cheap and under powered. I found the opposite to be true. The unit is light, powerful, seems durable and well built, and offers exceptional battery life. It is a really incredible value for the money compared to other Dysons.I will return here and reduce this review to 1 star if unit lasts less than 5 years.
  • Bad battery life.
Great vacuum that’s super lightweight. Sadly the battery only lasts 10 min brand new on a full charge on medium suction.
  • Great vacuum
Love this vacuum! Super convenient for when I want to vacuum my car too. Light weight and like the different power options.
  • Horrid Design: No Easy Dust Emptying Method
Are you INSANE, Dyson? WHAT the @#$% ???!!!? Due to my full Disabled status–largely related to nearly full LOSS of USE OF MY HANDS, I urgently purchased the new V9 at 65% off–thinking it was a great deal. No! This is a Fire Sale.If you are close to ‘Add to Cart’ WAIT & please be aware of a major design flaw of the V9.This nightmare DESIGN requires that you fully disassemble the vacuum in order to empty its collected dust. To empty each vacuum’s collected filth–you must TAKE APART THE VACUUM!WHAT A NIGHTMARE. This is 4x more effort than my broken down V8 already repaired thrice and sent with last night week’s garbage. So?!? This 65% mark down will need to go to 89% OFF to unload this horrifically designed DUD.Due to the inefficient design, grave shooting pain rips from my fingers through my wrists bilaterally in wrestling to empty the sticky and disagreeable bin. It does not shoot down with ease, but tgat must be AFTER you havd wrestled the buttons on the long neck to open– utterly impossible for my spine with a 7″ steel rod and 4 steel plates across left hip. I have to finnagle the unit sjdeways crouch forward while the base rolls away–pull it backwards to access the middle. THEN drop the lower unit–as it rolls further away–in order to wrsdtle sith the rounded Top. Then since the vacuum has no On Off switch, each time i grasp the top the sucking begins again. Twirling in my hands, it is impossible to perch, post, lean, or leverage this top piece tl force to open. Meanwhike dust and hair are leaking from the unit.Once i finally am twisted like a pretzel covered jn dirt, withered by pain, furious with the Fates, fed up as hell, the Dust Bow! Still won’t open. After pushing, thudding, pressing, and banging on it with pliars ( no use of my hands, remember? Including wrists!!!) the Bin opens, showering my pants the kitchen floor, the trash bin, plus all surrounding areas with filth.Now. WHAT was the purpose in me vacuuming to BEGIN with?!???SOLUTIONDYSON: MAY I PLEASE HAVE A V8 MODEL sent to me for the immense emotional and physical strain caused by thix wicked waste of time and energy?CSS
  • Best vacuum
Love this vacuum is very quiet, does a great job I have 5 dogs and it picks up hair great,,would buy again.
  • Toggle on/off switch not ideal
Love this vacuum however the power button is a toggle which means you have to hold it back the whole time while utilizing- my daughter has the model, which I thought I was buying, that has the actually power on/off button- disappointed

  • A great vacuum for the money.
So this is my favorite stick. Vacuum always has been my other one held up until the stick didn’t want to stay up anymore. It kept falling over and so I donated it to my church and they use it and it works quite well. Still, it still sucks up everything. It still works. This one here is a bit different. They changed the brush on it. So the brushes aren’t as close together as they were before, so it doesn’t Pick up with the brushes as well as it used to. But the suction is more so it works about the same. So the brush is a little bit different, which I wish they would change it back to the old brush. Other than that, this is a perfect little vacuum. It does great on carpeting, all types of carpeting, and Wood floors are whatever type of flurge that you have that have no carpet. It works really well. I love this vacuum. It’s not heavy. The only thing I want to say about this new one is the rubber piece where you grip your hand on. I have bad Arthritis and stuff, and it tends to rub my hand and hurt it. The other vacuum. I did not do that. So I think they made that rubber piece around where you grip your hand a little bit more hard, and it just it rubs my hand wrong. So I have to hold my vacuum different now. So that it does not give me a sore, so if they would go back to the softer version on the hand grip. And go back to the original brush, this is the perfect vacuum. It’s absolutely amazing
  • Shocked!!!
For decades I have had a wall vacuum unit and I thought it was just okay. Recently the brush head broke and I came onto Amazon to price a replacement. Over a hundred dollars just for the brush head unit! Since I was never in love with the system I started pricing Dysons…all but the cheapest unit was out of my price range and I wasn’t overly impressed with the reviews. So I headed over to the Shark reviews, looked at the various units and found I could get a nice unit for about $50 more than the replacement part for my wall system. Easy to assemble in a minute or so, easy to understand how to use…nice accessories. Since I was in the kitchen when I was putting it together, I decided to try it out first on an area rug my dog lays on (he’s a short haired breed). The rug was about 2×4 no big area here…to say I was impressed was an understatement…I was shocked at the amount of dust and hair the unit picked up effortlessly…actually it was kinda creepy to know all that dirt was in that little rug, it filled the cup about halfway! I put on the floor dusting attachment and finished the kitchen, the cup is now full. Easy enough to empty the cup, I didn’t understand all the whining about this feature in the reviews. Moved onto the dining room, nearly filled the cup again in just that room and it had been recently vacuumed. Moved onto the living room and got about 75% of it done before I had to find a new outlet, I was plugged into the kitchen and I have a big house over 2000 square feet! Filled the cup again and…maybe it was my imagination but my bare feet on the carpet felt cleaner. Easy to maneuver, you don’t have to push it, it self propels forward saving a lot of backache. The other attachments were pretty much what you get with all other units with the exception of the mini ones that can clean you keyboard…I think it might suck up my laptop it’s so powerful, I haven’t used it yet so I can’t comment. Used it some more the next day on more floors and bedroom carpets and was shocked at the amount of dust and hair in the cup. Now I will qualify my statements by saying I have never owned a Dyson, I’ve never even used one so I can’t compare the two. For the difference in price, there is nothing that the Dyson could offer me that I would want or need that the Shark doesn’t already give me. I will also add that I was shocked how light the unit was, with all the “bones” up high by your handle, I thought reaching high with the attachments to get cobwebs off the ceiling would strain my wrist…nope, it was effortless. My ceilings are really high, 20 feet in some areas and I was able to get to all but the highest points and those areas I could get with a small step stool. As far as how long the unit will last…for the price if it only lasts until the 5 year warranty runs out I will be happy, I’ve spent a whole lot more on units that only had a fraction of the cleaning power that this baby holds. I feel I got a really great value for the price. That you can’t stand it up on it’s own is a minor hassle I can deal with. I recommend this unit highly!
  • Great suction! Light, easy to maneuver.
UPDATE: 11/11/25. I need to update. I was WRONG about the stand. I was looking for another one since they are on sale right now and DISCOVERED THAT Shark has added a stand to this item and the Pro. I am delighted so I BOUGHT A SECOND ONE TODAY for upstairs! Now, I can donate that old XXX heavy vacuum. Thank you, Shark! j cI bought this vacuum in May 2025, and I am sorry I didn’t buy it when it was first available. After lugging a bigger vacuum cleaner around the house, this vacuum cleaner has made everything so much easier. At 7.6 lbs., it is so much easier to get up the stairs. AND – here is a big one – it is so much easier to take off the wand and VACUUM the stairs. It goes everywhere the old big, earthbound one cannot. I would recommend wearing earplugs. The floor nozzle pivots easily and is flat enough to get under so much more.Transition from carpet to short carpet to hard floor could not be easier – small thumb movement. Attachments are well done. Dropping the dirt into a bag is really easy. The best part is it has VERY STRONG SUCTION – that really surprised me. It leaves tracks in the carpet the same or BETTER than my old conventional style. Super easy to simply detach the top for quick pick up, or to get places.I would suggest to Shark to make a stand that snaps-on/clamps on the wand; or a permanent one of the newer models. Not interested in buying a stand for $$. l won’t buy something that won’t stabilize the vacuum while in use. This is truly a must because since it can’t stand well as it is, and stopping the vacuum to move stuff, putting it down on the floor, top can get warm, slows down the task.Bottom line – great suction, light weight, very maneuverable, easy to do stairs via just the top part. Check.Oh wait – how about vacuuming the car?? Check and Check
  • Easy, light and versatile
This is a good little vacuum. The noise isn’t terrible. It is good for small room and spaces. I gave it three stars bc the roller brush when activated doesn’t like my son’s shaggy carpet. The roller gets caught and hair/string wraps up in it and makes it stop; but the suction is great. So what I do is put it on floor setting, not carpet so the brush is not involved and go over his shaggy rug that way. It works fine and picks everything up. Easy peasy to empty and clean…really important. Easy to put together and very versatile since it can be a heavy duty hand vac too. Pleased with purchase.
