    My son is 5’3.5″ and 95#. He is very athletic and has a muscular build. A slim/skinny cut does not work for him. I bought these in a size 12 last year, and since he outgrew them, I purchased these in a size 14 this year. Straight out of the package, the slacks are a little big: the waist is about 2″ bigger than the size 12s we bought last year, and they are about 2″ longer than the size 12s. That’s quite a bit bigger for just one size up. At first, they fit more like a size 16.However, when I washed them on cold and dried them on high heat with other light-colored clothes, they shrank closer to a size 14. The good news is that now they fit great in the waist, seat, and upper legs. The inner buttons helped with the exact waist sizing. They are still about 1″ too long for my son, but I can hem them and let them out. The quality is still exceptional. They are thick chino material and should hold up to some wear. The color did not run or fade. I am very pleased.

    Children’s Palace pants are excellent quality and very comfortable for kids. The fabric is soft yet durable, perfect for active play and everyday wear. The fit is true to size, with enough stretch to allow freedom of movement without feeling tight. I’ve washed them several times, and they still look great with no fading or shrinking. The designs are cute and versatile, making them a favorite in my child’s wardrobe. Definitely recommend these pants for comfort and style!

  • Great pants, just wish the knees were stronger
    My kids wear these for their school uniform pants every day. We only buy Children’s Place pants because they seem to hold up well. I like that they have the adjustable waistband inside. They seem to fit true to size and don’t shrink when washed. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I wish the knees had reinforced pads/patch on the inside so my kids don’t get holes in the knees so quickly. Two of my kids are rough on clothes and can put holes in the knees of these pants within a few wears. My oldest son can wear the same 7 pairs of pants all year and pass them down to his younger brother without putting holes in the knees.

    I love the Children’s Place clothing! My son has been wearing them for years. He needed a black pair of pants for band concerts, so I knew exactly where I was going to get them. The material on these is soft, thick, and substantial. It will hold up to many washes. My son is 4’11”, 98lbs and size 14 fits him in length perfectly. He has athletic legs and these are not too tight. We probably could have gotten away with a size 12, but one growth spurt and they would be too short. He will need to wear a belt, but that’s life with a growing tween. I will be sad when he finally grows too big for the Children’s Place clothing!

    I was skeptical of how warm and waterproof these could be for the price, but went ahead and ordered a pair for each of my two children.Let me say that I am beyond pleasantly surprised by these boots. They have a wonderful warm fuzzy interior, similar to what you would find on deer foam boots, and so far after their first winter, there were no leaks from water or snow through the boot unless the snow went over the top (Obviously). I don’t know that I would plan an entire day in the snow with something like this because part of what makes them so comfortable is that they’re very flexible and don’t offer a lot of ankle support, I would go with a heavier duty boot for large outings. But for shopping trips, brief snow play outside the house, and cold days, we couldn’t get our youngest (6years old) to wear anything else all winter. This was all he wanted to wear, and now that the temperatures are reaching tripple digits, there are still days we have to tell him to choose something else to wear. He loves them that much.They are super easy to get on and off, true to size, the bright camo pattern was a huge success with our boys, and we will most likely be ordering another set come next winter, because if you have small children you know that chances of them fitting in the same shoes two years in a row is about as good as a snowballs chance in.. you know the rest.
