1st time using this yarn. It is very thick and soft. Fabulous quality. It was easy to use for a chunky blanket and would recommend this brand. The yarn is shrink wrapped and fluffs right up. You could toss it in dryer 2 minutes on delicate to fluff if needed. This pack I didn’t need to.

Oversll, decent product – but can shed. Haven’t washed yet – so not sure about the color. PLEASE NOTE: This is not for knitting with a hook! I got sage – love the color. Very soft and plush material.

First off, I would buy this again because for under $30, you get 8 skeins of yarn which is very reasonable. The yarn is FLUFFY and soft. The color is accurate, and it’s easy to knit with. It’s fluffy but not overly heavy. The reason I took away one star is because the yarn doesn’t separate as well as other brands and when I would fuse together the ends, there are thinner areas of the skein that made it harder to fuse solidly.

This yarn was amazing. Very fluffy once I tumbled in dryer for a few mins. Great quality and make beautiful hand knitted blankets. I have already ordered more.

Great for making blankets and etc. only complaint is that it snapped with some ease if I pulled a little hard when knotting a new yarn to the old. Only made the mistake twice and learned. Colors are great and nice and soft after they fluffed up. I do recommend shaking the yarn and letting it sit for a day after pulling it out of the vacuum sealed bag.

This product arrived so fast and the yarn its self was so soft! I purchased this product in hopes of making my boyfriend a blanket for his birthday. I was able to make him a blanket that he has used every night since being gifted lol the yarn is such good quality and I even got a sizing guide to help decide what size blanket to make and how much yarn I would need, I will being purchasing again

More “affordable” yarn but the quality is not there whatsoever. Cannot join together using a flame, so you have to tie knots to start next skein. Not to mention, when I tied serval knots, the yarn snapped. Really bummed because I love how easy it was to ship, the variety of colors, etc, but it looks like I’ll have to keep shopping around for a more reliable and stronger option so my blankets last for years.

I do enjoy crocheting my cardigan-sweater using these Caron 100% cotton yarns. These yarns are of top quality i.e. thickness, strength, easy to crochet with, keeping in shape. My cardigan-sweaters turned out of heavy weight that I like, and in particular very warm as it is cotton. I am so very pleased. I have not used any brand of yarns that I will keep using Caron.

Very soft and durable. It’s a good thickness, too. Not too thin, not too thick! No factory knots that I’ve noticed and it works up beautifully!

Despite being a little slippery, the yarn itself is nice to work with. It doesn’t split very much, which I appreciate, but the tails have a tendency to fray. Color work turns out clean and neat, and the yarn itself seems durable, great for the bag I’m making! My only gripe is that the cakes become undone and messy incredibly easily. I would suggest to not even wind them into cakes and leave them as skeins, the center pull is easy enough to find. Cakes are turning out to be a headache lol

This yarn is fabulous! A little bit pricier than the usual cheap cotton (you know the brand I mean), but it seems to hold up just as well and is much more comfortable to work with, both on my hands and in the finished product.

I really like using Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn. It is a super value. You get a lot of yarn for the money and the yarn is very easy to work with. My projects always turn out great. It washes very well also, the yarn feel softer after it is washed and dried with fabric softener.

It’s easier to order it than to try and find it in the store. You can get the same quantity watch the dye lots though. Great for making a sweater you need more than two. You can make a shaw with it no problem.

I bought this yarn to make a walleye toy. But since it is too much, I have enough yarn to make a basket and still left over for another two walleyes. TBH, the yarn is not on the soft side, you don’t want to make a baby blanket of it. But for toy and basket, it is perfect, holds the shape well.

I love thisss, the sage green is so earthy and cute. The quality of the material is very soft and does not fray which you might find in most cheap fluffy yarn where it sheds. Did not see any knots. The weight is light until it’s obviously crocheted or knitted together, and even then it’s a comforting weight. I hand knitted all eight skeins to make a blanket for my parents, it turned out pretty long, it’s my first time hand knitting so I made some parts more loose and some more tight lol whoopsies. But it was super easy to learn and work with, I love the little white ribbons that keep them together bc I can reuse them for crafts or gifts!

I hand knitted this blanket for my husband’s aunt but we all like it so much that I guess I have to knit another one! I normally use Bernat extra thick blanket yarns but they are pricey so I bought this for the first time trusting the reviews.They came vacuum sealed so I was little concerned at first, but look how comfy it looks!I used 7+ yarns for the blanket and left some for a cushion.

My daughter ordered this for my mother’s day gift, she created a blanket at a very last min and it came out so beautifully. I kept it as my bed decoration and my dog would use it to sleep on it as it is very comfortable and soft to touch. Very light weight and keeps you warm during the cold weather.

Really soft and smooth chunky yarn for blanket making. The cream color is a true cream (ivory) and makes a thick, warm blanket. I used this yarn to knit a chunky blanket and it turned out really pretty. The yarn is washable and I normally hang blankets to dry, although you can put them in the dryer for a bit, too. I found this yarn easy to work with and very reasonably priced. Good quality product and would buy it again.

This yarn is not horrible, it does have some spots that are a little thin, but once hand knitted into a blanket, you can’t tell. I would buy again. The price is decent. Just need to stick into dryer for a few minutes to fluff it up.

Awesome, super chunky, soft yarn! I was going to buy Bernat Blanket yarn but it was so expensive even when I found it on sale! I also tried to order yarn on Shein but it never shipped. I guess it was a scam.This yarn saved me money and the dark green is the perfect midnight green for my Philadelphia Eagles blanket. I’m surprised how well it matched!To avoid a thick knot, I used a lighter to melt the ends to connect another ball or color. There was no shedding or thin spots. I will be ordering again!

The skeins were vacuum sealed so the fibers were squished. I was able to fluff then up as I worked with them. It is not as nice as the high end brands, but overall I’m pleased with the product. (This is for the wine red color) The color is beautiful!

Got to say I am SO disappointed in this! I was thrilled to find it at such a good price (on sale), and with so many blankets on my to-do list for Christmas I thought I’d give it a try. Was using it along size Cozyful tri-color and Hobby-lobby solids (both the extra thick for blankets). What I received is NOT what others are picturing – it’s SO much thinner. Yes, it was VERY vacuum packed, and I left it out to fluff up for almost 2 weeks. Even after running it thru a wisk, it was probably half to 2/3 the size of my other comparable yarn. Chunks falling off as I worked, and several tie-togethers mid skein. Hard to hide the burn-together ends as there was not much floof/substance to work with. It’s a nice bright white, but I’m scared it won’t hold up to the quality of the other surrounding yarn in the blanket and it will eventually fall apart for recipients. You can’t tell in the blanket (as far as I can see) – I tried to make my stitches a bit shorter and tighter when using this color, but it’s more evident on the end when I needed to do a bigger loop to keep my blanket from curving – and since it’s thinner it doesn’t fill it in as well.Truly a bummer….I had hoped I found another affordable source to support my costly hobby – but I won’t be using this again, no matter how on sale it goes.

Exactly what I’ve come to expect from this brand and company. I used this yarn (a LOT of it lol) to create a full size queen bedspread. I wasn’t sure to begin with how much yarn I would need, so ended up buying more and more, due to the size of the project. I loom knit, so I created the main body (roughly 78″ long by 64″ wide), then whip stitched two 1/12 foot side panels to the main section..it came out amazing. No obvious dye lot issues (remember I bought I think five different orders of this, some from Amazon, some from Michaels), and the colors are rich and it has turned out gorgeous. And the king size blanket I made with a different color 8 years ago is still soft, didn’t lose shape, machine washed and dried many times over that 8 years. It may be a little pricier but you DO get what you pay for with this brand!

This is my favorite yarn! It’s thick, soft, and doesn’t shed. The price is comparable to what I usually pay in stores, and I’ve never had any issues with durability when crocheting with it. It’s a thicker yarn, but I prefer using a smaller crochet hook than recommended because I like tighter stitches.

The colors were perfect for what I wanted to do with this yarn. I bought 8 skeins; 6 of them were fine – nice and fluffy. Two of them were stringy and not at all fluffy. I’ve noticed that this has become a regular issue with the Bernat Blanket – some of it is just the right texture and some of it is like string with hair caught on it. OH! And there was a yellowing on the white bits of the yarn. I read online that this may be because of the dark colors “bleeding” on the lighter colors during processing. The yellowness seemed to lighten with washing. Consider using a large laundry bag to wash though.

They are small balls of yarn I didn’t pay attention but the yarn seems to be softer than usual… possibly because it’s a smaller ball and not wound as tight. Using it for a neutral blankets as Christmas gifts. This is by far my favorite yarn for stuffed animals, blankets and all the things.

I love this yarn! Super soft and durable. Easy to work with for crochet. I like to use this brand for Amigurumi projects. This wasn’t as brown as I was expecting but still a good choice. It’s a little darker and more mild than I expected.

So this may not be the softest yarn in the world, but it sure is pretty. The transitions are relatively good – there is an occasional color speck that’s off, but it looks great when put together. The yarn is easy to crochet with and every skein I’ve used, I’ve been able to pull from the center with no tangling! It is a bit stretchy, so once made, it does stretch a bit to better put on or take off. I’m currently making a bunch of matching dog sweaters and they are turning out great!

My mom’s favorite brand. The best for the avid knitter. The yarn is very soft and washes easily. There was enough yarn with 3 skeins to make blanket for a twin size bed. The bright pink color is fun and the yarn is easy to use. This makes a very warm blanket. Even though the color was bright pink, it wasn’t glowing. The length/size/ amount of yarn was just right.

The color is amazing, but the yarn feels like rough wool against my skin. I found tips online for pre-washing full skeins prior to use because this seems to be common. I didn’t go to the trouble of pre-washing and drying, but I did try several methods for softening after I made sample squares. I can’t tolerate most laundry products, so my choices were limited. Soaking in a mild solution of water and liquid castile soap softened the sample better than laundering in a mesh laundry bag or soaking in a solution of borax and water. The borax method was second best, but you have to rinse it out really well. There was no color fading, but the samples washed in a mesh laundry bag in the washing machine got fuzzy and looked like they would pill easily. The sample soaked in the sink with the castile soap solution had no visible damage after washing. This yarn has a squeaky feel to it and it makes noise with the painted and plastic type crochet hooks. Stitches held their shape well and squares were thick and firm feeling, especially with certain stitches. Using a slightly larger hook than the recommended size helped. This is a great option for practicing new stitches because you can choose your favorite colors for a great price. It probably wouldn’t be comfortable for babies or children, and it would probably be better for items which won’t require laundering on a regular basis. Stitches with a slightly larger hook unravel better than stitches made with the recommended hook size. (For frogging) I’m really enjoying the pretty color while I play with it.

It’s red heart… it’s the same yarn we all know and love. Three Skeins for this price is a kick ass deal though. I knit, crochet, and rug tuft, so It’s great to find good yarn at a low price. Yes.. it feels plastic at first because it’s acrylic. Soak in vinegar or fabric softener to take off factory coating.

I bought this yarn when I first learned to crochet. It is soft and very forgiving. I had to take my first project apart a few times and start over. The yarn looked a little wrinkley before I restarted but bounced back into shape right away. I have purchased this same yarn in different colors and the size and weight are very similar. It was easy to combine the colors for stripes. I have washed my products by hand and lay flat to dry and they come out soft and stretchy, no color bleeding. Will buy this yarn again.

This is my first time trying this yarn. I really like it alot but for some reason, the first skein I opened had this weird, almost waxy residue on the yarn. It makes the stitching that is coming straight from the center of the skin look dirty. That has disappointed me a little. I will wash the hat that I am making when I’m done but there needs to be some QA checks done on these skins before they are put into circulation for sale. I will buy more b/c I know this is an anomaly but I’d thought I’d be honest about this first review. 5 stars b/c the colors are gorgeous and the yarn is soft and easy to work with.

In 2023 I bought the yarn that’s on the right, back when I could only dream of crocheting.I finally learned this year, and decided I wanted to make an infinity scarf with my yarn.I guess I have very little understanding of how much yarn it would need, and quickly realized I’ll need more to finish.I no longer have the label, but did find a picture I took. It told me the brand was Red Heart Super Saver. But didn’t tell me the color name.I looked everywhere and this was the closest I could find. I was nervous because “Stripes”wasn’t on the name of my original yarn, and I saw the comments saying this was dull.But either they listened to the comments or I got super lucky.The color Polo seems to match my original yarn! I’m very happy.

My nephew asked me to crochet him a long sweater in this color combination for his birthday. I had never made a sweater like this. He didn’t know I was going to make the hats and scarves as well. I’m a beginner. I made a scarf and a hat. Yarn is very stiff. It’s warm but even after washing my items are stiff. The yarn is a good size but I had some splitting while crocheting.

I made my brother crocheted slippers from this colored yarn. Made a cozy pair. What I love about Red Heart Yarns is that it works up nicely. The yarn is consistent in size and strength. It moves over knitting or crochet needles easily. It comes in a variety of colors. In the past I’ve made (8) afghans with the left overs from other projects. I’ve given them away as gifts. When changing colors or attach another skein knots are strong and secure.

This is typical quality for Ted Heart yarn. I also liked the fact that there was no dye lot to deal with. Would definitely buy again.

I have been a fan of red heart yarn for decades! So thankful that Amazon sells in a three pack. I create amigurumis and I use a lot of yarn. This yarn is easy to work with. The colors are beautiful. I like the thickness of the yarn. I know this yarn will be very dependable and durable if played with or handled a lot as an amigurumi toy. It doesn’t tangle up while working with it. Great price on this brand name acrylic yarn. Beautiful colors (lots available), works easily. I bought several colors and love them all. I use them to crochet lap blankets to donate to nursing homes. Six skeins make a great lap blanket – covers the lap, but probably not big enough to get caught in wheelchairs. Highly recommended.
