The best speaker I have ever had!!! Got for work, last all day, lasted all day of us floating river. No issue at all, great sound, bass hits great, great quality, light weight, just an overall amazing speaker!! I tell everyone to get one, and I am looking to get the next size up for at home!! An absolute must have speaker for sure, well worth the money!!!

this is my favorite speaker yet, i use it to go outside and to the beach and to pools great for partys. if u have multiple speakers the can connect to one another sound is amazing you get deep bass and vocals are super clear. Very portable especially since it has a handle can be used in shower when because it is water proof best money spent yet and it is so simple to use.

This thing packs a punch! Got this for my husband to use in the garage. It’s proven to be very durable, with the app, you can control everything from your phone, functions great, connects with no lag, connects with normal Bluetooth range, great value, loud enough to hear over tools and running vehicles.

So i was half tempted to do an audio system out in my backyard for relaxing and letting the kids play outside we could listen to music. but then i came across this speaker. it seemed reasonable! it is very compact, lightweight, and packs a punch with sound! bass mode is where i usually leave it and it sounds great! i ride around on a bike playing music, sit at the beach jamming out. long battery life and i like that you can charge your devices off of it. ALSO not what many other speakers can do…. you can charge it and play music at the same time! well worth it!

I started off with a pair and now have four of them. They are great! I’m more of a treble and mid range guy and these guys hit that mark! The best part is that they link up in “party” mode for when I entertain, giving every room the musical background I enjoy. I also use them outdoors and have left them out in the rain with no issues. They have a protection mode that will not allow charging if they are damp. Once dry they charge without a problem.

I purchased the JBL Flip 6 (renewed) two months ago and have been very satisfied. The speaker represents my first JBL purchase. I’ve been messing around with Bluetooth technology since 2002 in one form or another, and this speaker is super-simple to pair with one’s cellphone.About the same time, I purchased a Bose SoundLink Flex. Both have equal performance and are priced with dollars and cents of each other. When I purchase each, I also bought aftermarket silicone speaker protectors (~$12) to ensure a dent-free life and the ability to attach a nice carrying sling/shoulder strap. A good/inexpensive investment.On/off buttons, volume & Bluetooth pairing buttons are located on the Flip 6, however, if one would like to change the default bass and treble tones, you will need to download the JBL Portable app that matches your electronic devices OS platform. I use an iPhone and have had no issues. The app is a basic equalizer control feature one might use in addition to your devices native audio settings.In other reviews and promotional videos, much attention is paid to the waterproof features of JBL’s cylindrical Thermos shaped BT speakers. I suppose this might be relevant if I were to use the speaker while bathing in the tub or shower, however, common sense dictates using a bit more care in where one puts the speaker in the bathroom to begin with.One of the most interesting features is PartyBoost. PartyBoost allows the user to daisy chain other JBl PartyBoost compatible Bluetooth speakers together to play music from a common phone or similar. I assume each speaker would need to be located within a ~26ft radius, which is generally accepted as the average range of Bluetooth antenna technology.Visually, JBL’s Bluetooth speakers are very cool. They come in a variety of colors. My Flip 6 is black, like about everything else I own in personal electronics. JBL even offers camouflage patterns, though I doubt one might catch many deer or elephants with Metallica thrashing away. Perhaps playing tunes to celebrate a good hunt makes more sense.The end caps of all the cylindrical speakers vibrate when passively resonating sound energy from the front firing woofer/tweeter speakers. Visually, it’s fun, although I’m not sure if it’s indicative of anything else other than air being pushed to and fro about the plastic speaker carcass.After using the speaker for a while, I’d say I like it as much as my Bose SoundLink Mini, which is kind of the benchmark for mini Bluetooth speakers. Tiny speaker, big sound, zero distortion.If you are interested in an easy to pair, easy to use, quick charging, long battery life (10-12hrs), great sounding and good looking small Bluetooth speaker, the JBL Flip 6 is a great unit. I purchased this speaker “renewed” at around $96. It arrived in a generic box, with instructions, minus the chunk of paracord one might use as a wrist or back pack attachment. Oh well. This little speaker really blew away my expectations. The volume range fill all use cases for me, from working in the garage, jamming out in the shower, playing calm music during sleep, or hanging out with family and friends.For reference of review, my regular home listening setup includes two 5″ JBL LSR305 bookshelf speakers and a JL Audio D110 10″ subwoofer.I’ve listened to many genres of music on it, from many flavors of EDM, to rock, metal, bass music, and ambient. It’s really quite incredible how the multiple integrated speakers fill a room or open space with an impressive frequency range.The low end is quite punchy. When turned up, you can hear and almost feel a thumpy kick drum or bass line through an interior home wall. To be clear, you won’t be feeling any sub bass or other very low frequencies due to the size of the speaker diaphragm, and it would be unfair to expect that. However, what it does put out is, again, impressive.The mid range is strong. Vocals are clear and remain undistorted at higher volumes. Guitars, synthesizers, and percussion come through nicely.Where this speaker unfortunately falls a bit short is the high end. It’s particularly noticeable with cymbals: a just-audible distortion and fuzziness, but it’s important to remember we’re talking about a portable wireless Bluetooth speaker for $100.For the price point, the sound quality is very good. I highly recommend it for sound and portability alone.Sound quality aside, everything else is as advertised and expected. Bluetooth pairing works normally. Apparently this speaker supports JBL’s party mode where adjacent JBL speakers can replicate audio from one source to all of them; I haven’t tested that feature. Product quality is good. It looks sleek, feels nice in the hand, and the rubber trim is helpful to prevent it from moving about on uneven surfaces.Battery life is good: it will last upwards of 16 hours at low volume as tested by playing calm music during sleep, and recharging with USB-C is speedy!

Just got it and it’s WAY louder than I thought it would be.I’ve been using a Bluetooth that work gave me for free that’s about the size of a golf ball. Not only is the sound barely hearable anywhere but inside of a quiet room or car, the battery also only lasts about 1-2hrs on a full charge and it takes almost 4hrs to fully charge. So I have to carry a charger with me along with it and leave it plugged in most of the day so I can use it at work, completely negating the point of having a tiny speaker the size of a golf ball.I’m hoping this thing lasts longer than 4 hours on a charge.One thing is, I thought it was a brand new one, but the one I got is factory refurbished. I don’t really care: it looks and sounds like new, and was a bit cheaper than other ones I saw listed. I just don’t remember seeing anywhere it mentioning that(or maybe I just didn’t see it because was absolutely oblivious to that fact). I love the fact it has a built in clip, so no potential to lose the clip I have on my other one or it falling off on accident for said clip, or the string from my old speaker break or whatever potentially making me lose or damage the speaker. Super easy to pair, and with the option of adding more than one together for more sound is also pretty cool(tho I’ll likely never do that as I only have 1).EDIT: Removed one star.Sound is not great close to max where I need to have it at work, and it also drains the battery much faster. The battery doesn’t last a full work day, I get max around 6hrs, so I still need to carry a charger with me.Play boost or whatever it’s called makes the sound garbage, so there’s no reason to use it, tho it CAN increase battery life. I wish the battery was 1.5x or even 2x what it has now, it wouldn’t make the size noticeably larger.Durable, it’s gotten a few drops and dings and only have a couple of scratches on the top carabiner part.

My wife and I sit out on our porch almost every evening and this speaker works wonderfully! Even at lower volume, it has great bass! It is also loud enough to listen to around the pool. The battery life is also great! We can listen all day on a single charge. I do with the battery were easier to remove.

Have been using it almost everyday. Battery life is great. Came in original packaging and seemed just like brand new. No signs of previous use or wear/ like new quality. Sounds amazing! This is a high quality speaker for the price. If you’re looking for a speaker with high quality sound that is meant for a small space, it’s a great bet. It works well for smaller outdoor spaces as well if you are having a small gathering with friends or family. It has a surprising amount of bass capability for a speaker so small. It also pretty painlessly connects via bluetooth. Other speakers have been headaches to me, this one connects instantly with no fuss.I bought it refurbished and I can’t tell at all.

After reading reviews (on Amazon and other sites) on middle-weight BT speakers, I settled on the JBL Charge 5. Lots of battery life. LOTS of loud, clear, deep musical sound. Easy to pair to my iPhone. This speaker comes with and charges via USB-C cable, one of my pre-requisites (I’m trying to narrow down the gaggle of cable mess in my drawers and bags!). I’m super happy with the sound quality and quantity. I take it to our outdoor pickleball courts and everyone on all four courts can hear the music clearly. The speaker is big enough to have great sound. It’s small enough to toss into my racket backpack along with all my other stuff.I gave this speaker a 4-star rating because it’s missing some fairly common features that other speakers in the same price category come with, like microphone for taking phone calls on speakerphone and built-in “smart” assistant.I saved some money by going with a “Renewed” device. The description states: “This product is in “Excellent condition”. The screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away.” Well…not exactly. That certainly wasn’t the case with the first unit they shipped me. I got a speaker that appears (quite obviously from 12 inches and beyond) to have “survived” its first life in the back of a oil rig work truck that was driven down long, dusty, back-country, gravel roads. It was scuffed up and dirty. I immediately submitted for a replacement unit. The 2nd unit was in much better shape with only a few minor scuffs on one end. Everything works just like new, so no complaints over performance.If having a microphone for speaker-calls or built-in digital assistant (Alexa, Siri, Hey Google, etc) isn’t a must-have, then this speaker is a 5-star unit in every way.

Great speaker. I already had one in the pickup to replace the OEM ones that couldn’t take the Florida weather. I needed one in and around the house to have my favorite music playing as I did my chores. Simple enough to pair, LOUD if you need it to be, great sound. Long lasting battery, you can charge your phone from it.

I don’t take the time to write many reviews but this speaker deserves one. I love this thing. From golfing to hanging on the patio, JBL makes it easy to enjoy music with this – it packs a punch! Good bass that my anker portable did not achieve. Weatherproof, so we just leave it under the umbrella so it’s ready to go. Long battery life as well. Worth every penny!

I got two of these speakers factory renewed. They came packed in plain boxes with complete packing and the accessory recharging cables. They charged up well and worked right away. There is a bit of a learning curve to the JBL controls, and instructions are sketchy at best, even on the JBL web site. But there are many YouTube videos explaining details and operation. The sound quality is really good with ample but appropriate clean sounding bass. I’ve connected wired and with Bluetooth and quality is great. For music, like from SiriusXM, I can have one speaker connected wired, with the other on Bluetooth from there. I’m still experimenting and there is a setting for stereo where one speaker is Right channel only and the other Left. I’m satisfied that both of these speakers are working to full capacity and I found no flaws at all. There is no indication of previous use visible, they were both very clean and looking like new. One thing to note, when using with our outdoor TV, the Bluetooth audio is just slightly delayed so that it’s not in lip synch when people are talking, and this can also happen occasionally when wired too, which I don’t understand, but I did find some methods to correct online and they work. Both speakers are pretty quick to set themselves up on Bluetooth and start playing, and volume is individually controlled on the speakers for balancing. You can apparently connect a large number of these JBL speakers (over 100) to cover a large outdoor area. Two was sufficient for our deck area and I can grab on to go to the other side of the house to an outdoor seating area and the Bluetooth worked flawlessly. I haven’t tested range but it’s better than most I have used. I have killed soundbars using them outdoors and other wired solutions are limited and there’s a lot of work to run wires. I can use by the hot tub or the outdoor shower and not be concerned about water as they are not going to be damaged by water. These JBL speakers can be placed anywhere and changed around at any time to suit your needs and particularly for the price I have no reservations in recommending them.

Bought this after using a friend’s, was very impressed with the sound quality and volume as well as the tough woven shell and silicone (I think?) end piece diaphragms. Size is comparable to a nalgene so easy packing in a water bottle pocket. Also liked the aux port for my iPod, though I’ve since bowed down to Spotify and would just as soon get the newer charge 5.Used a lot last year at work (construction) and partying. battery life is very impressive, will charge my neglected phone and play loudly all day which is real nice.After four or five months I noticed the cover that protects the charge and aux ports was splitting a little where I had to use a bit of finger nail sometimes to pop it open, especially if my fingers were a little wet.Despite that little flaw, the water proofness is pretty perfect. I tested the buoyancy of this thing many times while floating and rafting as well as using daily as a lift attendant all winter in a wet snowy wet place. Was planning to ask for a new plug cover, it seems easily enough replaced.That was until however until the poor little thing was set too close to a bonfire late at night and, by the time I noticed the flames were licking it and grabbed it (still bumping loud tunes) the rubber ends were soft and boiling hot and the fabric weave shell kinda seared my hand. I threw it in the sand and hit the power button with a stick.Thirty minutes later I turned it back on and the speaker sounded like nothing had happened when by all rights it coulda just blown up. Bonkers.Soooo I’m not claiming that it’s fireproof or anything but I am claiming that this thing is pretty dang tough. I’ve used and abused the thing since the near meltdown and it sounds great and has great battery life.That was until however the poor thing fell unnoticed out my passenger side door and sat in the gutter for a night, then got driven over the next morning by my Chevy 1500 when I left for work. I found it that afternoon in the ditch kinda cracked up and real sad looking under a few leaves. Turned it on and bududududuh! It lit right up and connected to my phone.Sooooo I’m not claiming that it’s invincibly uncrushable or anything butI will tell you that I’m buying another one soon. My current been-around-the-block-and-under-the-wheel speaker has a little static noise issue every ten or twenty seconds and is a bit quieter after the partial crushing but still good enough to listen to podcasts in my very loud crunchy old truck. Bonkers. Definitely with yer money.Ohhhk one small add on complaint sorta thing is that the only way to check battery involves turning the speaker on which makes the startup budududuh noise which can be very loud sometimes. Wish there was a way to check battery without the noise. Still gonna buy another though.

Great Sound

This thing is great. Got mine in sale due to it being a return, but it’s been amazing. The bass thumps, it’s loud, and when it’s on max volume, the bass isn’t drowned out by the high hats and mids. Super clear sound. I use this in a mechanic shop, the shower, on walks, in the kitchen, everywhere. If there was a 10 star option, this would get 10 stars!!

first off, when i got it in it’s original box, it had at least been opened. but when i opened it up, it was still wrapped in the original foam sheet and so was the power cord. both the cord and speaker had that new plastic-like smell like when you just bought a fresh new electronic device. everything was in perfect condition. so thanks guys i saved a little money on a new speaker (around $320 when i purchased this June 21st).now for a product review.i’ve had this thing about 3 weeks and i’m impressed every time i use it. i mostly use it at work and i work with a small crew of people in a fairly noisy environment. we all love it and it truly cuts through in a loud environment with an impressive range of bass and the boost in the treble region really comes through clear over things like constant electrical hum and various machinery being used. this is a great speaker for anywhere sorta noisy or outdoors.indoor listening in an otherwise quiet environment is good too. my only complaint would be that the boost in that treble region i mentioned feels kind of harsh. if you use the JBL app to turn down the treble 1 notch, it feels like you pulled back the highs a bit too much and still sounds a little harsh. personally i didn’t buy this for indoor listening i have a good floor sub and decent speakers. overall i feel this speaker is made to go places or be in a loud warehouse or something like that. even great for a little house party.now for bass. it obviously has areas in the low frequencies where it’s more resonant than others but it does get quite low especially for it’s size. it gets low enough for basically any music in my opinion. but those super low bass sounds that you can mostly only feel instead of hear from a good sized floor sub, just isn’t really there. but of course for the portability and everything it does more than enough.lastly battery life. i’d say if you’re playing it around 70-80% you’re probably gonna get about 5 hours. 70% is pretty loud and considering the bass this thing pushes, 5 hours is still impressive to me.is it worth it? for me absolutely i love this speaker. i’d recommend if you think you’re gonna take it to a noisy environment and actually use it like it was intended.

I bought this boombox to use in camp and it was INCREDIBLE! First of all the sound quality is amazing, I tried out some songs with strong bass some songs with complicated electric guitar sounds and it came out insanely good, like I could actually hear every detail of the instrument. Then the sound was also really loud especially when played indoors, it would fill every corner of the room with aound, and even outside you could hear it a long way off. And this is all in a speaker which is very easy to carry (also, i bought a strap to wear it separately, i would suggest that) and walk around with since it’s relatively small compared to some of those huge speakers, and it has a nice handle to hold it with. I also hear that it was waterproof so I chucked it in the lake and it continued playing while deep under water, so I stuck my head under and was able to hear it under the water, but at one point it shut off due to a safety feature, and once I pulled it out of the water it continued playing. It also floats in the water, so you can let it chill in the water while playing music. It also has a pretty long battery life, it lasted me like 5 to 6 hours daily on full blast. It also has a usb charging port so you can charge your phone.It is a little bulky and heavy compared to the small jbl speakers, but compared to the average speaker that has such sound capabilities, it is very easy to walk around with.I would suggest anyone to buy this speaker if you are looking for a powerful and easily movable speaker!!!

Not one single complaint. The sound quality is 2nd to none. The bass is extreme and the highs and mids are on point. I love the music I listen to, now my neighbors get to hear it as well. Ordered black, but recieved camouflage. The speaker still looks, sounds, and works like new for a cheaper price. Everything you would expect comes in the box. I also support repair instead of replace, so this is a no brainer.

This speaker is as advertised. Way better sound than I expected and the battery last a very long time maybe 20 hours or so.

Speakers are great and the sound is awesome, we had a very large order and so we expected so delays filling the order but they seem to be sending what they have as they get it available.

We took this camping and it lasted 4 days with pretty consistent use without needing to recharge. It has a very handy loop and can hang just about anywhere. I like that there are no LED lights so it can be used in the evening without too much distracting noise.My main reason for buying was to replace an older shower Bluetooth speaker and this was the perfect speaker for a great price.I have other speakers by the same brand and battery chargers by Anker and really appreciate the quality.

Every thing is great, I just wish the buttons were tactile, it’s just a smooth surface with no button differentiation. Also, needing another loop thingy of some sort to attach it to things is a small drawback. Otherwise, it’s a perfect tiny, waterproof, decent sounding speaker.
