Very clean sounding CD. no complaints aside from the actual CD case was already very slightly cracked. I don’t mind but something to look out for if your a collector. Would definitely recommend overall tho.

After hours is his best album and it ain’t close. All 14 songs are perfect and there are 0 skips on the album 10/10 Best song: Faith or After Hours

If you haven’t listened to Joe Bonamassa I would highly recommend this cd. I love a lot of variety and was not familiar with his work. My only question is “Why did it take me this long?” So if you are a fan of blues, or just exceptional guitar work, give this a try. I now own several live recordings and several studio recordings of his. This one is truly one of my favorites.

Love me some Joe Bonamassa. Still rocking the blues. Sometimes looking for more of the Blues deluxe feel of his earlier years. His sound is more polished and full, which isn’t a bad thing. Just looking for the rawer feel on occasion. My favs are Breakthrough, Trigger Finger, Life After Dark and You Don’t Own Me. If you enjoy live shows, Joe never disappoints. Don’t be late, lights go on and curtain up on time every time.

Yet another great album from Joe B! With each album his vocals become more authentically bluesy, while his guitar skills have always been top notch. Joe B is my goto for that blues vibe.

Just a wonderful Album. KebMo and Taj Mahal blends there tow voices together in a smooth and enjoyable way. Assisted in places by KebMo’s wife is also a big plus. My wife plays the CD over and over in the car.

I love the collaboration of these two performers. The music, the partnership…. perfect!

A wonderful and generous collection of Bonnie songs. The fidelity and depth of the sounds are just astonishing. If you know nothing about her buy it. If you are an old fan and want to just enjoy the collection in a new setting, you won’t be disappointed.

Love listening to Miss Bonnie Raitt! I grew up when CDs started coming out and I still enjoy collecting them.

This cd is one gem of a song after the other. Her voice is silky, smooth, seductive. Hands doen one of the all-time best female vocalists. Perfection!

Bonnie Raitt’s slide guitar work is legendary and has inspired me to play slide guitar! This CD showcases the extraordinary career and the magnificent talent that Bonnie Raitt has compiled through the compilation of her work on this CD, during her career with Capitol Records.However due to the damage by the delivery company, the CD got damaged, and it appears to have affected the playback of the CD so only half of the songs could be enjoyed.Amazon, has processed the return, and is so good about providing the return shipping with no cost. Amazon makes shopping so pleasing and gives me assurance that the customer is valued and cared for so well!Love Bonnie Raitt and love Amazon!

What’s not to like? Eight great albums or the price of one. Classic jazz. Powerful. My only gripe is some of the engineering mixes are not mixed the way I would do it. When listening through speakers it’s fine but listening through headphones the balance is way off. I know back then this effect was common but it doesn’t mean I like it. I would prefer to have the instruments blended to both channels, not just one.

Just plain good music and 4 disc’s on top of that

I am not going to write an in depth review on the musical content. John Coltrane is universally regarded as a musician and innovator of the highest order. Having this much of his music available at under $12 (at the time of this review) is practically a gift. Coltrane’s music can be difficult at times, but much of this collection is quite attractive, and there is a nice “flow” to the program. I probably already own all of these recordings, but I love the convenience of having this compilation. As far as the sound quality, I was concerned that it would be inferior. This doesn’t seem to be the case. I haven’t yet compared it to my other copies on my main system, but listening to it on my stereo at work (mostly Cambridge audio) it does sound fine. I liked it so much I immediately ordered two more copies for relatives. I highly recommend this CD collection.

Nice set-but… I didn’t read clearly or just assumed each album was a separate disc. I have bought many of the “Five Album” or “Original Album” series where each album had its own slip case (mini version of the original LP)- This collection is not like that, having 2 albums per disc without the individual sleeves. Still a nice collection, but I was disappointed. Definitely a nice complete collection at a great price.

I was concerned that there might be skips. I heard 3 or 4, but each time I went back to replay one of those sections, the skip did not recur. I played the discs multiple times both on a disc player plugged into my laptop and in my car … which only revealed how excellent these albums are. Great buy.

Trane will always be a recognized renowned master. He is known for explaining Music as akin to Mathematics. That explanation humbly omits the genius that flowed from his breath and through his instrument.

Great collection of John’s work! I downloaded the four disc’s into iTunes. For some reason, album info was off. Everything loaded as one disc. It took some time organizing all the song to list properly.

A great double cd. It has the older songs with David Lee Roth & on the 2nd cd, it has songs with Sammy Hagar. Received packaged well.

Since the band’s sound and popularity were built on the records they made with Roth, there was no way for Van Halen to ignore his contribution, but they do their damnedest to diminish it here. There are no pictures of Diamond Dave to be found in the artwork (unless you count the miniature reproductions of the sleeves of Van Halen and Women and Children First) and David Wild’s liner notes mention him only twice — once when he joins the band, once when he leaves — while conspicuously lavishing praise on Sammy. As petty as this swipe is, it’s understandable and could even be forgivable if the two discs were well assembled, but they’re sabotaged by an absurd sequencing that alternates a Dave song with a Sammy song for the bulk of the entire collection. This is a jarring sequencing, to say the least, causing a whiplash change of tone, mood, and attitude with every song, which are otherwise well-chosen, containing the big hits from each era (the only exception is the boneheaded move to end the collection with three cuts from the 1993 live album Live: Right Here, Right Now, all Diamond Dave songs sung by Sammy). This attempt to elevate Sammy above Dave in the canon is a bit like trying to say Ronnie James Dio was more important to Black Sabbath than Ozzy Osbourne — a piece of flat-out hyperbole that does a disservice to what the singer actually achieved. David Lee Roth was larger than life, a gonzo performance artist touched with genius who helped Van Halen seem bigger, sillier, grander than any other metal band; with him in front, they were giants, they were golden gods. Sammy Hagar was his opposite, an everyman who sang about girls and tequila, somebody who brought Van Halen back down to earth. Since part of the fun of rock stars is to have them be larger than life, a manifestation of the audience’s dreams, fans naturally gravitate toward the Diamond Dave years, but there are merits to both approaches and both resulted in good to great music. But that’s hard to appreciate on Best of Both Worlds, when the Dave and Sammy tunes are mixed up with no regard for chronological, musical, or emotional cohesiveness.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for 1 of they’re big fans & I know they will be very well satisfied with this for Christmas…..Delivery was right on the estimated delivery date & very well pleased with this purchase myself for the price…..will definitely buy from the seller again for other items in the future…..5 STARS

If you like Van Halen then you are going to want this. The second CD has a lot of great music, the first one is more of Eddie loving the sound his guitar makes. Yes he knows how to play, but sometimes you have to know when a little less would be so much better. But still that is the Van Halen way and they are one of the all time greats, an I am not. I am sure you know the group and there are songs from both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar so in that respect it is the “Best of both worlds.”

Original singer and has all the good songs that aren’t on regular CD. Plays great. Shipped fast and no damages. Worth the buy
